Im have about 4 weeks left of school of my freshman year in highschool and frankly i just am having trouble understandind what the point of school is at this point. I am in the highest levels in all my classes and get straight As usually above the 95 mark. I work hard for these grades. I just am starting to wonder why I work so hard. I never rest. I never sleep. I never do anything I want to do. I can never hang out with friends. I do extra curriculums at school which i really enjoy but frankly they make life even harder for me in the fact that i get home later each day which will have me staying up even later. Adults are always saying enjoy your childhood while you have it. What childhood do I have? One of homework studying and stress that allows me to basically not have a life? So lets say i continue to study. Continue to work hard and get good grades and go to a good college. Well if i go to a good college does it garentee a better job then if i go to maybe a smaller less known school? I feel like that answer is no. So I ask again why am i wasting my time? I have no motivation anymore and quite frankly im sick of my life being overwhelmed with the frivilous things we are taught in school. If school is suppose to give you a foundation for learning shouldnt you in highschool start to pick classes you are more interested in? Like why do i need to learn about the plants reproductive systems ( meaning every part labeled and be able to explain in a 3 paragraph essay) if i wanted to be a mathematician? Obviously i feel i should have a basis for science but i think i learned enough by 8th grade and if i was really that interested why couldnt i pick that class to take rather than having to take it. Im just sick of everyone sayin these are the best years of your lives and do well in school while society and the will to be better accedemically is actually stressing the younger generations out and actually making it harder for them to just enjoy life sometimes

Im a teen and i want to get into the acting industry. Ive been taking classes for more than a year now and am continuing to take classes. I want to start going to auditions but i cant figure out how to and how to avoid scams. My parents said they support me but they know aboaolutly nothing about the acting industry just what ive found out and told them. I have headshots and a resume. How do i take that next step?

I'm in 8th grade and I have to pick whether or not I want to go to a private catholic school or the town's public highschool. a fair amount of my friends are going to both highschool. I love acting so i figured go the highschool with the better theater program but it looks like they are about the same. here are the pros of and cons of both highschools. at the catholic highschool theres more order and i like the idea of uniforms. its a nicer building and the kids there are smarter and more supportive of one another there really aren't cliches. my neighbor is going there and hes like my brother so that would def be a pro. my cons are that since you have to apply to the catholic school i feel like there is going to be more of the same time of person if you know what i mean. at my school now i am friends with nerds, popular kids, emos, goths, EVERYONE, and i like being friends with so many groups because it brings a variety into my life each person is unique and im not sure whether or not the catholic school would have that variety of kids. also the public school would have people i know and am familar with along with others from different grades. the classes at both school are at the same acedemic quality so i wnt be getting a better education in one and a worse in the other it will be about the same.

Ok so im trying to teach myself how to fake cry for acting obviously and i can get really into a character and imitate my crying And sob pretty well but my problem is getting tears to flow i can get my eyes to water up when i think of something sad and stuff but they never fill up enough to flow steadily when i cry about memories or something it usually takes quite awhile to even get those tears flowing And i really cant be thinking about sad memories while im actig because when i get into character it kinda helPs to really stay in character i know thIs is kinda weird but thats just how my mind works. What im looking for is something to helP me practice because i knOw practice makes perfect :)

Hi, i'm 13 years old and im studying to be an actress i have this class coming up this weekend thats kind of a really big deal its with a casting company and if they think im good i could really have a good chance. Ive been told im a pretty good actress but i think im about moderate. would anybody care to share tips for staying calm i was trying to run my lines and im just getting really emotional with this whole thing i want it really badd i need advice on how to stay calm and developing characters. This is class is super important in getting auditions and im kinda getting caught u in the pressure which i know isnt good if im serious about doing this for a job. please help :(

hi, i've recently become a lacto ovo vegetarian. My parents are starting to worry im not getting enough of the right nutrients. Do you have any recipes, or just things that i can snack on that can help? Thanks :)

since i know im 13 years old i have obviously had meat before so im taking it slow. i will be an lacto ovo vegartarian, i know that i really need to be able to eat eggs and dairy products to make it easier for my mom to make dinner every night and as i get older i'll start to narrow down on those sort of things. I don't want to eat gelatin though. the way it is made disgusts me, like the was you kill and animal to eat it. there is n reason for the animal to die. in my opinon of course. i know some dairy products have animal in them so my moms getting the vegetarian cheeses for me. umm. i wanted to know for starters what foods i should start to avoid to avoid eating gelatin. i know marshmellows, jello, etc. i just need a basis, and ill start to check the labels on food. thanks :)

oks so it started like a year ago when i started liking this guy hes like one of those really popular boys, im friends with all that popular girls and i hang out with the popular boys with them but i wasnt popular enoug for him to like me, so then one of my stupid friends told him i liked him for 5 months he wouldn't talk to me. then i befriended his neighbor without even knowing it, me and the neighbor became best friends and hung out all the time. this boy and his neighbor have known each other since they were born and he's like adopted into her family because of all his family troubles like his sis is so mean to him his mom and dad are divorced and his dad sometimes abuses him like once i was over the neighbors house and outside the boy and his dad were playing basketball 3 min later we go outside the dad is gone and the boy said my dad hit me he had a huge mark on his back made by the basketball. so anyway me and this boy became really close. but then school started again and we are not on the same team and if your on a dif team you basically live in different worlds. the neighbor offered to have me over so i could see him but thats wrong i don't want to use her. its been 4 months since ive last talked to him i cry myself to sleep everynight because i miss him so much. my friends say its time to move on but i just can't what doi do? and i will make comments as spam!

I nee an idea for a good halloween costume. i'm a teenager so nothing babyish, i want to be able to make it myself not because i cant buy one but because i have more fun making them. i lovee things with sparkless(: haha don't be mean or inapprpriate because i will report you!

okay so about 3 months ago i spent like 3 days on imovie making a music video with tons of clips of me and my friends fooling around. i went to watch it today and most of the videos won't play! the ones taht won't play have a little yellow triangle in the left hand corner with an exclamation point! please help. i spent a lot of time making each clip perfect for the video and it's really special. what happened? and how do i fix it?

ok, i want to audition for this big part but the problem is you have to be a canadian citizen to do so, i live in the us, and obviously i would have to move if i got the part but is there any way i can become a canadian citizen or something like that so i can audition at least? because if i don't get the part theres really no reason to become one right? is there anyway i can make the director , look at my resume?

i live in the US and i was looking for these songs i really like for itunes but they are only available in the canadian itunes store, we were going to set up an account but i read somewhere that that violates the itunes rules or something, but this morning i logged on and it said that my dad's account would now work on the canadian store, i'm soo confused, any help is appreciated.

ok i was going to this camp for about 4 weeks and it just ended. the camp has this petting zoo, during this time i befriended this little baby pig simon, he's my picture for the asky thingy haha, but anyway i really bonded with this little pig, i was his trainer and i fed him and cleaned his cage, i didn't even need to get him on a leash when we walked him around camp he just followed me, he was the sweetest thing. the problem is that camp ended and im having a really hard time getting on without him,the soonest i could see him is in like 5 years if i ever wanted to again when i am old enough to be a counselor at this camp because i'm to old now): his owner candy who owns all the other animals at the petting zoo, e-mails me pics all the time, and says he misses me. i miss him so much. should i get a pet pig? i know how to take care of one now, and i think it would help a lot in the absence of my other piggy, i have no idea what to do, thanks.

i keep hearing reports from different articles and stuff, one says theres no such thing as a teacup pig and all pigs grow to be around 120-170 (at least the smallest) others say there is and they can only get to be about 40-60 pounds. Is there such thing? if not what is the smallest pig, we are getting one for a pet and well if it gets big it gets big we know it will but we still want to get the smallest one we can.

i live in MA and we are not sure if we are alowed to even keep a pig as a pet there, and if it is allowed do i have to chck if the town allows it to????
