What would be the consequences for the rest of Europe if a civil war were to break out in Ukraine?
If Yanukovych follows Assad's example by refusing to back down and Ukraine descends into further chaos then how would this affect the rest of the continent? I mean, its not like NATO or the EU could simply choose not to get involved seeing as its right on the EU's doorstep. Or could they just ignore it?

3 AnswersBlues7 years agoIs Bashar al-Assad really as bad as everyone makes him out to be?
After seeing several videos on the internet of the Syrian Civil War, the only atrocities I've seen have been perpetrated by the Free Syrian Army and other rebel groups. For example, a Syrian policeman having his head hacked off by a machete? Or a group of rebels kneeling down captured Syrian soldiers and shooting them in the head/ slashing their throats? I feel utterly disgusted. It's like something the Einsatzkommando would have done.
1 AnswerOther - Politics & Government7 years agoIs it a good idea to do only 3 A-levels?
I'm currently doing my AS levels, and am taking English lang, geography, history and politics. However, I feel that I cant focus on all of them at once due to the large volume of work. So do you think it would be better to drop one, say geography, so I'd have more time to focus on less subjects (which would potentially mean I'd get better A-level results)?
Would universities look more highly upon 3 A/B's or 4 C/D's?
Thanks a lot guys
1 AnswerOther - Education8 years agoI want to take A-Level physics?
Ok, so I would really like to take physics for A level, but I only got a C in physics and maths gcse. It wasn't because I wasn't clever enough, but because I pissed about a bit in class and didn't work at it hard enough. This was a real wake-up call for me, and I have realised that I must up my game if I want to do well at A-level. Do you think that I could do well at physics A-level if I work hard at it (something which I am determined and prepared to do)?
Thank you
Will

8 AnswersAircraft8 years agoWhy do people seem to jump to the conclusion that Israel are in the wrong?
The extent of the suffering of the European Jews in the 1940s is almost beyond comprehension. Put yourself into the mindset of a Jewish survivor of the Holocaust: your people, beliefs and culture have been brought to the brink of annihilation, and it is almost a certainty that many of your close family members have been murdered by an industrialised killing machine. I think you would be feeling pretty damn vulnerable. I also think you would also want a place to live where your people could feel safe in their own homes again.
So you get given a homeland, so you and your people never have to experience something as disgusting and awful as the Holocaust again. How would you react to the threats of annihilation from your neighbouring countries? Some of these threats coming from countries not even 25 years older than your own.
I mean its just bullshit. Yes, Israel are reacting violently. But are they not meeting hostility with hostility?
Yes, the location of Israel is flawed. But there were no real nations in that area (Arabia) anyway. I also know that the Palestinians are suffering, but they are also firing missiles into Israeli cities.
I'm beginning to get the impression that people say 'Free Palestine' just because everyone else is saying it. Surely this situation isn't as one sided as everyone appears to think?

1 AnswerGovernment8 years agoSongs to learn on piano?
I cant read music, but play by ear. I can already play most of Fur Elise, Moonlight Sonata, Lizst's Hungarian Rhapsody, Chopin's Raindrops prelude, the Chopin Nocturne used in the movie 'The Pianist.' Lately ive been finding it difficult to find more romantic era pieces which arent too difficult to play. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated
Preferably classical or romantic era pieces, not too fast or difficult.
None of that crappy pop music please.
Thanks
5 AnswersClassical8 years agoIs joining the British Army at 16 years old a good idea?
I'm thinking of joining as a junior soldier.
Is it worth waiting to join after A-Levels?
What are the benefits?
How would it compare to joining at 18?
Cheers
5 AnswersMilitary9 years agoWhy is the UK government so insistent on political correctness?
I'd like to point out that I am NOT a racist. I just noticed that on Remembrance Day there were idiots burning poppies, and when the respectful people paying tribute to veterans said anything back to the group of Muslims, they were lead away by the police. Its strange because they didn't stop the protesters chanting ''British soldiers burn in hell.''
Does this mean that political correctness is compromising one of the fundamentals of a democracy (freedom of speech)?
3 AnswersOther - Politics & Government9 years agoWhat are the chances of an American invasion of Iran if the Republican Party win the 2012 general election?
Mitt Romney seems to have mad it VERY clear that he would back an Israeli strike on Iran. Will this boost Israels confidence in attacking Iran or provoking an attack?
