I'm doing research for an audio drama I'm writing. I've been able to find a lot, but when I try and find anything relating to cabs I'm not having much luck.

Exact year is 1926, but anything in the 1920s is helpful.

I am voice recording a story for Halloween and I have NO idea how to pronounce this. My guess is ESS LAHZT SEEK NIKT LESSEN.

If you could do a voice record or point me to one of it that would be ideal!

Personally I think Obama and McCain were narrowed down through the media. If you noticed there were people that got practically no media attention and obviously no one is really talking about other political parties as well. Not just because I'm voting for him, but this statement from Bob Barr really summarizes how I feel:

"I will be a candidate for the presidency of the United States, and it is precisely to give the American people a voice, to give them a meaningful choice so that they do not have to once again go into the polling booth on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November, hold their nose and pull a lever — or touch one of those magical touch-screens that seem to be so much in vogue now — and vote for the lesser of two evils. America deserves better"

We have FIVE people running for president right now on FIVE different parties. We hear about TWO. TWO!!! People need to know they have more options than right or left. We have the Green Party, Libertarian, and Constitution too! I would like the media to not be so biased and talk about ALL of them equally.

Does anyone else feel this way?

We currently have laminate wood floor in our great room (19x19') and we want to go with something more durable (it's already bowing) as we have radiant heat under the floor. We would like to go with real bamboo (cost effective and eco-friendly). Is this a good choice? What would you recommend?

I was sitting at my computer today and then started having problems focusing. I noticed that my eyes started to go up and down cross eyed (room was stacked). If I looked down it wasn't as bad as well as with my peripheral vision. I have been on my computer for about 5 hours today and 5 hours last night (I'm a graphic designer...I'm almost always on my computer). Could this be a result of computer eye strain? Both monitors are LCD but at work I have fluorescent lighting. I intend to see a doctor because it's not normal for me (first time this happened) but he's not in today.

Also..no symptoms like nausea or faintness or dizziness. It was just really weird. I also had dilated pupils.

My fiance and I inherited a Heywood Wakefield table and didn't know that you couldn't use Pledge (the orange oil one). We had one meal there and used place settings but when we removed the settings a week later, we noticed the areas were all white. It looks like the finish is off right down to the grain.

Is there a way to fix this? We think we are going to have to completely sand it and refinish.
