Sorry this is my husbands account, I am unfamiliar with how to use it, so forgive me if I don't follow the format. I am currently caring for 5, 3 day old kittens abandoned in my yard. I called the humane society who couldn't take them but did give me a 1ml syringe and formula for the kittens. I've had them for about 6 hours so I'm really new and really unexperienced in this area. This is what I need help with:

I did read other websites on how to care for kittens but here's information/questions I have that weren't found......

#1 How much should they eat every 2 hours?

#2 How often should they poop? I can get them to urinate but none of them have pooped.

#3 I am having a hard time getting them to take the formula from the syringe, I have been trying to hold them in such a way where they suck on the skin between my thumb and index finger and then sneak the syringe in the corner of their mouths, but this is still difficult for themand me, any suggestions? (The formula is room temp)

#4 I don't have a heating pad any ideas on how to keep them warm? they have a blanket in theiur box should that be enough?

With legislation on health care being discussed in the Senate, I would like to pose this idea to everyone and get some feedback. What if you killed the tax incentive that employers get for providing health care coverage to workers, then at the same time, you make it so everyone can go across state lines to purchase their coverage. I think this might work to increase overall competition and drive down prices if you run it along side a public option. This also relieves small businesses of the burden of having to provide health insurance for employees. Instead it puts the burden on the individual and the government to do it.
