Continous stimulation of the vagus nerve?
If you continually stimulated the cardiac vagus nerve in a healthy, living human, heart rate would decrease and then would eventually return to normal. Speculate on why this happens. What is the phenomenon called?

Mathematics1 decade agoGetting braces :(help?
Okay well im 19 years old and all my teeth are fairly straight. Then i discovered that i still have one of my baby teeth still in. and under the baby tooth my adult tooth is growing at an angle. After taking the baby tooth out you can see a corner of the adult tooth. My dentist says i will need to get braces to take it out straight ....I think this is the worst thing that can happen to me :(...i didn't think that i would ever need braces...but all of a sudden i need them. is there some sort of surgery i can do that wont' take as long as the braces. right now im waiting 6 monthes to see how much of the tooth will be out.
2 AnswersDental1 decade agoShould the elderly be allowed to drive? And if they are all allowed to drive, should they be retested?
In ontario there are laws that state that those over the age of 80, must annually do a written driving test and vision test? Is this fair, or should they be allowed to drive whenever, where ever?

6 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoStrong acid-Strong Base Titration?
1.0560 g of antiacid is weighed and mixed with 75.00 mL of excess 0.1126 M HCl. The excess acid required 4.68mL of 0.1008 M NaOH for back titration. Calculate the nuetralizing power of the antacid in terms of mmol H+ per gram of antacid.
For the calculations the # of milimoles of antacid in the sample is deteremined by subtraction the # of mmol of the excess of HCl, nuetralized by the standardized NaOH, from the total # of mmol of HCl added to the antacid at the start of the experiment.
if you could please answer this question it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
2 AnswersChemistry1 decade agoThe masses of different isotopes?
Hydrogen isotopes:
H: mass:1
D: mass: 2
T: mass: 3
Oxygen Isotopes:
Oxygen 16; m=16
oxygen 17;m=17
Oxygen 18;m=18
Rank the following hydrogen peroxide molecules from the highest to lowest mass.
That was the question and i've calculated them out, but i seem to get the wrong answer, so if anyone can correct me and find the right answer it would be helpful:
1. D2+oxy16=36
2. H2+oxy17=36
3.T2+oxy17=40
4.H2+oxy16+oxy17= 35
5.D2+oxy18= 40
6.T2+oxy18=42
7.D2+oxy16+oxy17=37
8.T2+oxy16=38
9.H2+oxy18=38
So those were the equations and beside them are my answers, so if anyone could tell me if im doing something wrong and correct it would be much appreciated.
Thanks =D
3 AnswersChemistry1 decade agostoichiometry question.?
Supposed that you use 1.110g of Fe in this experiment. What is the minimum volume of 1.0 M of copper sulfate solution that you should add?
2Fe(s) + 3Cu^2+(aq)--> 2 Fe^3+(aq)+ 3Cu(s)
Fe(s) + Cu^2+(aq)--> Fe^3+(aq)+ Cu(s)
use the equation that would require the most copper sulfate for a given quantity of iron.
