I am the Plantiff (Pro Per) in an Unlimited Civil Lawsuit. The Defendant did not file an answer.....?
within the alloted court time (30 calendar days). I filed for a Court Judgment and Default. Do I need to file any paperwork with the court to dismiss the "does" I originally named in my case when I first filed my summons, etc.? I'm trying to get the Judge to approve my Request for Default.

2 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoAARP - Can Yahoo Answers Violate Us for Talking About AARP?
Every time I post an answer here or question, it shall start with AARP. And every time I get "violated/deleted" I'm going to point out the YA how they have deleted my question/answer when it contained AARP which is a Senior Citizen organization and I posted my question/answer in the Senior Citizen section.

7 AnswersSenior Citizens1 decade agoHappy April Fools Day - Got Any Good April Fools Gags?
When I was first a young employee working in the office setting, I was a switchboard operator and I liked to leave phone messages for the field sales staff to call "Mr. Fish" and I'd write the phone number to Sea World on April Fools Day...they'd call in for their phone messages regularly - before we had cell phones and pagers....
I love pranks....got any you can share that you enjoyed?

As you know, I live in Los Angeles and I've never lived anywhere else - that includes anywhere it snows. But I just saw this story and it's a crack up.....so I wanted to share it with everyone. I guess this event just occurred this past blizzard in Chicago. (NOTE: There are a few curse words in this - not really that bad, but just warning you.)

10 AnswersSenior Citizens1 decade agoWant to hear a funny news story I just heard tonight?
The San Bernardino County Police (Calif) set up a sting operation where a defendant who just appeared in court and had their driver's license taken away by the judge, a cop in the courtroom would radio a cop outside on the street. And the cop out on the street would arrest the defendant if they got into a car and drove after just having their license revoked. (Mostly drivers convicted of drunk driving.)
Pretty tricky huh? I guess that police department's been doing this for a few weeks. These defendants can lose their vehicle on the spot too for 30 days. Huge impound costs.
I thought this was funny. What do you all think?
Good luck.

9 AnswersSenior Citizens1 decade agoFellow SC's - I need your advice why YA would block this answer I gave?
I answered a Y.A. poster who asked the question: "Where can we get educational financial aid...we are 18 and 19 years old and have a baby together...."
I gave the following advice below and then I got an e-mail a day later saying that the Yahoo Community reported my answers as against the Yahoo policies....Here's my answer to the question above:
I told them to look into JobCorps (www.jobcorps.org). It's a free US government program for people ages 16 to 24 for GED/High School, job training, housing, food, healthcare, child care, transportation, cash, etc.
Can anyone tell me what I did that is against Yahoo policy or offensive to the Yahoo Community?
I just don't understand how this answer would be a violation?
Thank you, Cathy
