    What happens if there are equal firsts or equal seconds? If there are equal firsts the next best competitor actually finished third, meaning 2 gold medals and a bronze awarded. If there are equal seconds the next best competitor is actually in fourth place, so there should be one gold, two silver and no bronze medal. Is this indeed the case?
