  • Writer/researcher looking for an expert in steam trains/cog railroads to advise in an article...?

Hello--I am searching for an expert in 19th century-era steam trains/cog rail to assist with a VERY intriguing project/article. Specifically, I need someone to identify an object associated within the train realm. I would prefer someone with verifiable credentials or associations within this field, and someone willing to use their real name and those credentials within a published article. Thanks.

  • Does anyone recognize these subliminally suggestive cigarette ads from the 1980's in Omni Magazine?

In the 80s, Omni Magazine (and probably others) used to feature cigarette ads that upon close inspection isplayed 'death' imagery. This wasn't actually subliminal, because it was in plain sight, but it was very carefully done so you might not notice at first. The scenes were rather involved and complex. In one, there was a woman standing on her penthouse/rooftop garden, talking to a 'gardener.' Looking more closely though, the garden background turned into a cemetery with headstones and a 'cold' landscape. It was obvious that the gardener offering her a cigarette was really her grave digger. In another, a woman is painting a mural on her bathroom ceiling--the mural seems to be "The creation of Adam." As you look down the side of the mural though, another "god" figure turns into a very scary looking demon or devil, and the colors are grey and dead. This has been driving me crazy for years--I can't find any info. I thought it was Benson & Hedges, but it could be anything.
