I'm going to plant seed in my backyard over the next couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for types of grass to use. The yard is is in direct sunlight for the ifrst half of the day and then in shade from about noon on. Traffic wont be too high bit intend on being out there on the weekends and will have a dog running around. Any advice if greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I just moved into a newer house where the previous owners never did anything with the backyard. It was just dirt (no sprinklers) and over the following years built up quite a bit of weeds (including tumbleweeds). Anyways, over the last few weeks I've been out there and removing all of the weeds and am pretty much at the point where its just dirt now. I'm thinking about spraying a weed killer to kind of finish the job but at this point I'm not even sure it's required. Can anyone give me suggestions on the best way to keep it weed free between now and the time I seed the yard? Thanks in advance!

I'd like to start looking at houses and someone referred an agent to me. I'd like to do a bit of research to find out the track record of this agent and heard there may be websites that I can go to (similar to the BBB but for agents) to see if there are any negative items against them.
