Obviating the drawbacks of the .380 and .38 special cartridges are more expensive than traditional 9mm Luger for IPSC, Why or why not practice IPSC with these weapons and calibers?

To be honest, I don't think there is much benefit from being armed with a .380 ACP or a 9mm Luger, if it's a situation where you have to face enemies with bulletproof vest. Even a .45 ACP 230 gr FMJ bullet, would be equally unable to penetrate NIJ III armored vest . In this aspect, .380 Auto would be better because is more controllable and allows more accurate shots . Moreover, most of the gun fighting never are to over 30 yards, and very rarely to 60 yards ... So, what do you think?

Is it true that bp was the old standard in 19th century when the cartridge was introduced? I can't imagine the muzzle velocity for that!

I'm interested in becoming a professional in pistol shooting, but the only caliber that my budget allows me now (due to high consumption of ammunition needed to become a professional) is the .22 lr ammo. On the other hand I would feel a bit ridiculous to use this little caliber in the range, while others use larger calibers. Long time ago someone told me that .22 lr is for ******* and girls, whether in pistol or rifle. However in some Hollywood movies profesionals "bad guys" use .22 lr pistols (maybe it's just another silly hollywood ****) What do you think about all this and what pistol do you recommend me?

I mean, in past centuries pistols always had a smoothbore barrel. Handguns are traditionally short range weapons almost exclusively for self defense.

Best military style boots?

I'm looking for military boots for marching and running on asfalt, concrete or rough terrain. What are the best, (confortable and durable) and not too expensive?

Does using black powder in a S&W 500 revolver, it could be more comfortable to shoot and still have great stopping power by the enormous mass of the slug (350-400 grain) and the lead deformability? Is there any reason Black Powder (FFF or FF) should not be used in larger caliber revolvers... Besides the cleanup?

Recently I found a YouTube video... and the Beretta 84FS seems to cycle perfectly, I have no idea of speed or energy, but I think black powder (4F or 3F) could be a very good option for reload for plinking with this caliber. Normal speed with smokeless gunpowder is between 900 and 1000 fps with a 95 grain projectile. Using a 80 grains cast lead bullet, Could it accelerate with black powder to about 650 or 700 fps? Would it still be lethal?

Bueno, lo que sucede es que antes (hace algunos años) yo solía poner todos mis datos personales en el Currículum V. (dirección completa, mis números de IFE, Licencia, Cartilla, Pasaporte, IMSS) además de mi edad y dirección exacta con Código Postal etc. Pero ahora, en un nueva redacción de mi Currículum que estoy haciendo, solo he puesto que vivo en la ciudad de México en tal Zona (pero no mi dirección exacta) mis datos de contacto: teléfono cel y correo electrónico (pero no el tel. de mi casa) puse mi nombre completo (pero no mi edad, tengo más de 30) puse que tengo licencia tipo A (pero no puse el número) que tengo IFE y Pasaporte ambos vigentes (pero igualmente no puse sus números) y puse que tengo cartilla liberada (pero no puse el número)

Al final del Currículum que redacté (de tan solo una página) he escrito lo siguiente:

"En observación a la Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares http://www.diputados.gob.mx/LeyesBiblio/pdf/LFPDPP... se han omitido algunos datos que serán proporcionados en tiempo y forma y a solicitud formal de la parte empleadora."

Todo esto lo hago porque a amigos míos les ha sucedido que luego sus datos personales más íntimos andan por ahí regados por cualquier parte y en manos quién sabe quién, y en un caso que supe hasta hicieron mal uso de esos datos

Solo basta leer las noticias. SIRIA, RUSIA, IRAN, ISRAEL, CHINA, LA OTAN, GRAN BRETAÑA Y POR SUPUESTO ESTADOS UNIDOS... ¿qué opinan? Yo sostengo que desde el fin de la URSS en el 91, Estados Unidos ha venido haciendo lo que ha querido pues ya se encuentra solo como potencia hegemónica mundial (hecho que no durará mucho tiempo más, a mi parecer)... y todas estas invasiones, provocaciones e intervenciones en todos lados, creo que tendrán que terminar... desafortunadamente, quizás de forma ultra violenta en una 3a Guerra, ¿se cumplirán las profecías?
