I have a room with almost fire engine red carpet.?
I collect M&M figures so I thought it would be kinda cool to paint the room in primary colors with the carpet being red obviously with the 4 walls in blue, green, yellow and orange. What do you think is that too many different colors? This room with be used mainly as a home office. All of the furniture in the room is black, wrought iron and all of the decor in the room, will be M&M figures, etc of the various primary colors. What do you think?

2 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoThyroid Cysts/Nodules and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome?
Ok well I'm 28 years old and have a variety of health issues. My Dr has sent me for MRI's, ultrasounds for thyroid and pelvic and some other tests. Well the results came in and the girl at the dr's office told me that I have cysts or nodules on my Thyroid Gland and also have cysts on my ovaries. They are supposed to be setting up an appointment to have the Cysts/Nodules of my thyroid examined more closely before identifying what treatment can be done. I am terrified! I asked my doctor if it is treatable and she told me lets find out what it is before you start to worry. I have already had the blood work done and the ultrasound done, what can I expect next? How do they determine what it is? What treatments are out there? What are the risks and/or side effects of going through treatment? What are the risks and/or side effects of not going through treatment? I have already done my research on the PCOS and I'm concerned about my ability to ever have children.
1 AnswerWomen's Health1 decade agoMy Niece!?!?
My sister had her baby girl on Christmas Day. I don't get to see them very often (they live in a different city about 50 miles north of me) I have noticed the baby doesn't really respond to voices or follow sounds. She also does a blank stare where she doesn't blink (its kinda creepy) but I'm concerned there might be something wrong with her. My sister and Mom have said that they have discussed it with the dr and he says she is doing fine.
7 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade ago2008 Tax Rebate?
My boyfriend (of 5 years, essentially married w/o the certificate to make it legal) didn't work much last year due to the housing market downward spiral. He did however have about $5K worth of claimable income. When I filed my taxes I claimed his as a dependant as I provided more than half of his support last year and he claimed what little income he did have specifying that he was able to be claimed on someone else's taxes and was claimed. How will my claiming him affect our tax rebates? Will we both get one? Just me? Or me with an extra $300 for qualifying dependant? I have read the articles on the IRS website that states you are not eligible if "You can be claimed as a dependent on someone else’s return. For example, this would include a child or student who can be claimed on a parent’s return" But he is not a child nor am I his parent. I am not sure if anyone out there has the correct answer we may have to just play "wait and see" Thx in advances for all helpful answers
4 AnswersUnited States1 decade agoI've heard my brother's girlfriend has Herpes!?
Ok. I have been told by several sources in the last few days that my brothers girlfriend of 2 years has herpes. The people who have told me have asked her if my brother knows which she responds "its under control, he doesn't need to know" I know it is not my place to tell him but I feel obligated to make sure that my brother knows. After all it is my little brother. How far would you go to make sure your brother knows?
I was thinking of talking to his girlfriend woman to woman and telling her I have been told that you have herpes and while it is your business I need you to tell me whether or not it is true and if it is true, does my brother know about it. I actually like his girlfriend and if it is true I want to make sure that they are BOTH getting the necessary treatment so its not like I want to berate or belittle her for it. Everyone makes mistakes. Advice.
12 AnswersFamily1 decade agoMy family still talks to my ex.?
My ex and I started dating when I was 15, he was 17. We dated for 9 years. We have been broken up for 5 years now and he is still with the chic he cheated on me with. They have 2 kids together, a family and life of there own. but certain members of my family still talk to him on a regular basis and even go on frequent "outings" together. Outings that I have excluded myself from because of how akward it is. I have told them how I feel, that I don't like it and I feel disrespected. In my eyes when you break up with someone you don't get to keep their family. His family and I mutually broke all ties when we broke up because I felt that it was disrespectful to him, his new girlfriend, his family and myself. What can I say or do to get them to realize they need to let go!
18 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoMP3's to CD?
My brother has a CD that a friend made for him. It is a standard 700 mb CD-R and it has approximately 140 songs on it. How do I get that many songs on a CD? When I burn a CD the most I can get is about 20. What am I doing wrong?
2 AnswersMusic & Music Players1 decade agoIs it legal for an Aunt to file for Child Support?
Ok here is the scenario! My husband and I are in Florida, originally the mother & kids resided in Florida and there is a current child support order in Florida which we are paying on weekly. They have since moved to West Virginia and we received notices in the mail that we are behind on payments for West Virginia?!?!? But here is the best part the Aunt that they reside with along with their mother and 3 other siblings (that belong to 3 more daddy's) was the one who filed for child support against my husband. 1st Question is can you be charged by 2 different states for Child Support and 2nd is can the Aunt be the one who files for Child Support?
6 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoDoes anyone have a family member that goes totally overboard?
with gifts for holiday's, birthday's, etc. But only gives to people selectively. For instance sister in law spent over $300 on a custom easter basket for 2 1/2 month old grandson and bought her daughter 3 easter baskets one with gift card of $200 not including the contents, didn't acknowledge anyone else not even a Happy Easter! I think she does this to make everyone else feel inferior with gift giving. Does anyone else think it is tacky to make everyone sit down and watch the opening of baskets when not everyone is included? Or am I just bitter and jealous I wasn't included? My thoughts if you are not going to do for everyone, do yours privately with the ones you are.

8 AnswersHoroscopes1 decade agoWe found my boyfriend's kids after 5 years of searching, (long story) but the oldest will?
be 17 next week and the "baby" will be 15 in June. This intimidates me because I am only 10 years older than the oldest and 12 years older than the baby. While it should be easy for me to relate to them because we are somewhat close in age, I don't know how to prepare myself for their reactions or the treatment I might receive. Right now I know it is not about me it is about the reunion of the kids and there Dad, but how do I fit myself in and include myself without being the evil stepmother?
8 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships1 decade agoMy bf & I are trying to locate his kids, we think we found his son on myspace but he hasn't logged in since
November. He has 2 profiles one has celebrities as friends and the other has 1 friend and good old Tom. We have sent 3 messages to his friend trying to get information to see if we have the right person, she will not respond to us, I have sent an email 2 both profiles asking for info and another email to his friend asking her to have him log on since she is not willing to give us any information. I guess my question is how long should we bother this "friend" before giving up that the kids don't want to be part of his life? We left an email address and phone number for them to contact do we just leave it alone and leave the ball in their court or continue to try to reach through the friend?
8 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships1 decade agoMy bf has not seen his kids in 12 yrs +/-. We just found his oldest on myspace & think he is gay do we contact
Their mom refuses to allow contact w/the kids and bf kinda feels kids would be better off without him, bc they have went this long with out knowing him (17 & 14)
