  • One-foot Trunk Diameter Large Enough for a Treehouse?

I plan to build a treehouse across two trees, one of which is 2 feet in diameter, while the other is 1 foot. I'm unsure whether the second tree is thick enough to be stable.

Both trees have negligible lean, and are about 11.7 feet apart. Alternately, instead of building the house between them, I could build it around the thicker tree, and use the smaller as support for less than half of the house (although I do not prefer to build the house around the tree).

  • Alright to build a treehouse on leaning trees?

Should I build my treehouse on trees that have about a 5 degree lean in them (the two trees I plan to use lean away from each other, with a total angle difference of 10 degrees)?

Would that pose a threat to stability to my house in the long run?

The trunk diameter of the trees are about 10 inches, and their circumferences are about 33 inches.
