  • How can I give this ring to my girlfriend?

I bought my girlfriend a ring, and I want to give it to her in a special way. The box it came in is ugly, and the ring doesn't really fit well in it. I was going to try to make an origami box, but I don't know if I can.

Do you have any ideas for ways I can surprise her with it?

    Thank you!

  • How do you know if the counselor you go to see is the perfect one for you?

I am going to see one shortly for various reasons, and my parents had mentioned that I might have to go to a few before finding one that is perfect.

How do I know if they are the right one for me?

    Thanks!

  • What should I expect when I see a counselor for the first time?

I decided I wanted to see one for various reasons. As soon as my mom gets recommendations and such, I'll make an appointment to find one I'm comfortable with.

Anywho, I have no idea what to expect. I've seen movies and everything, but I would rather have someone else's perspective.

    I'm 14 (almost 15) btw.

Any info you have is good.

    Thanks!

  • I want to take my dad up on his offer for a counselor, but I'm an awkward person?

Okay, so about 2 or 3 years ago, when my parents divorced, my dad offered to find me a counselor to talk to. I refused because I was so busy all the time and I didn't want to be "the kid who goes to therapy".

Now that I'm almost 15, I'm questioning a lot of things in my life and I feel really alone sometimes.

I really want to take him up on that offer, even though it's from forever ago.

I'm busy every day of the week so I don't know if I would ever have time to go.

I don't know how to ask him without being totally awkward. I'm an awkward person anyways, and so is he, so I just have this feeling that it'll be that much worse.

    My questions are:

    1) What is the least awkward way to ask him?

    2) Wording?

    3) What can I do about my lack of time during the week?

    Thanks!

  • Professional piercers: I have some questions. Can you help?

Okay, so I am almost 15. I am really interested in being a piercer when I am older. I just had a few questions I wanted to ask. Feel free to not answer any of them if you don't want to.

    1) What can I do this early to start "preparing" me to become a piercer?

    2) What do you have to do to become one?

    3) How well do you get paid?

    4) What made you want to pierce people for a living?

    5) Your favorite piercing to do?

    6) Craziest/most unique one you've done?

    7) What piercings do you have?

    8) Any additional comments?

    Thanks so much!

  • I have these piercings now. Would it be too much to get the other ones I want?

    Left: rook

Right: squiggly bar connecting my rook to my tragus.

In the future, I want two more on my left rook, but spread out down to the snug so they are evenly spaced.

I also want my vertical labret and maybe a few surface piercings (not sure where).

Would all of this be too much? I don't think it would be.

    Thanks!

    NO HATE COMMENTS PLEASE.

  • What kind of eyeliner is the easiest to apply and looks good?

I have been told numerous times that I would look better with some eyeliner, but I don't really know much about makeup.

    What are some eyeliners that:

    -are easy to apply?

    -don't go on too thick?

-stay on, but come off when you want it to?

    -look good/not trashy?

Also, would I look better with brown or black eyeliner?

Any more makeup I should wear?

Tips on how to put it on?

    I don't want "you're ugly" comments.

    Thanks!

  • Would I suit a lip piercing in about 3 years (with pics)?

Okay, so right now I am almost 15.

When I turn 18, if I still want one, I am getting my vertical labret done.

    http://media.photobucket.com/image/vertical%20labr...

    This is me now:

    http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...

Remember, imagine me being 18 instead of 15.

Please, don't comment on my general appearance if you think I'm ugly. I don't care about that. I just want to know if I could suit a vertical labret. (or any other lip piercing)

    Thanks!

  • My dad came in, and I was on the LGBT page.?

I clicked another tab when he first came in, but I realized you could still see "Lesbian, ..." on the tab. When I went to hit the X, I clicked on the tab instead so the page came up.

    He was right behind me.

I'm afraid he saw the page. He doesn't know I'm bi.

Is this something I should worry about?

Do you think he saw it?

    Thanks!

  • If I went to college part-time, how long would it take to graduate?

I'm considering all of my options for careers and such, and it just hit me that I haven't really known for sure how long you go to college if you are a part-time student.

    Thanks!

  • I'm afraid my dad will be disappointed, but it's what I want to do.?

    I'm almost 15.

For a while, I wanted to be a doctor when I grew up. This was around the time high school was beginning, and of course my dad was all obsessive over my grades.

Long story short, since then, he has been freaking out to make sure I'm getting A's (which I'm not) so I get into med school.

I have been thinking some more and it's not even something I want to do anymore.

I want to be either a professional body piercer or a psychologist/therapist/counselor person.

We were talking about college and stuff tonight and I mentioned something about doing something I didn't exactly have to go to college for. He got this look on his face and said he wanted me to go to college (etc) and then he asked what I was thinking about.

When I said body piercing, his face had "disappointment" written all over it.

I'm afraid that if I decide to do that when I'm older, he will be disappointed, even though he said that he wanted me to do whatever made me happy.

Is this something I should worry?

    Advice?

    Anything?

    Thanks.

  • Is there a piercing in this location?

Okay, so imagine your labret (below the lower lip). Now, flip it so the piercing is in that spot, but above the top lip.

    Is there such a piercing?

    Thanks!

I have only heard 2, but I love them (The Girl; Sleeping Sickness).

What are some more I should listen to?

  • I have a pimple right by the ball on my tragus piercing.?

My mom said it was a pimple, anyways. It might be a keloid/bubble thing.

I was at the piercing place today to get something else fixed and I think he referred to it as being troublesome, but he didn't seem too worried.

Should I just let it go away on its own?

  • How do I get my dad to stop obsessing over my grades?

I'm 14, a freshman in highschool. I have fairly good grades (A, A, A, B, B, C) and my dad freaks out over every little thing.

"You didn't finish your homework in a timely manner tonight!"

"You need to bring your history grade (B) up!"

"You won't get into medical school with B's and C's!"

I feel like I blow up at him and just yell and get mad all the time, but that's what makes him stop temporarily. He obsesses over medical school, and it's gotten to the point where I don't even want to go anymore. I just want to move in with my mom instead or something, but I can't.

He was never this hard on my older brother, and he's just fine. In college, making A's and B's. Probably because he was never stressed out all the time with our dad freaking out constantly.

What do I do to show my dad that he can stop obsessing? (keeping my grades at A's and B's)

  • My calves are really sore and tight. Help?

Track practice started this week. We had intense workouts on Wednesday and today. On Thursday, they were really sore from Wednesday and today they were pretty bad today too.

It hurts worse to walk than to run, and they hurt to the touch too.

I've been taking Ibuprofen and it helps a little.

Tomorrow, I have a 3-4 hour car ride. Should I do 30 on, 30 off with the ice?

I guess my main question is what stretches and exercises are there that can help before Monday? (We have timed running Monday.)

  • What types of things would you study in a LGBT college major?

There is a LGBT program of study at Yale and I was curious as to what type of things you would study for 4 years.

I didn't quite understand the webpage.

  • I am coming out as bisexual to my best friend in a few weeks. How to do so?

Okay, so my best friend lives in another state, about 6 or 7 hours away.

I feel as though she should be the first to know, but I don't know what to say.

I'm visiting her over spring break, April 6-11. On one of those nights, possibly the first or last one, I'll tell her.

I don't want to be blunt, you know? I was gonna go for the 'ease into it' option.

What could I say, and do you have any advice?

    Thanks!

I'm almost 15 btw, if that matters.
