My husband and I just moved in to a new house back in our home town and this summer we would have an open house. I mentioned to my mom that I would like to provide meat and beverage and politely ask people to bring a side dish, appetizer, or dessert. We are going to be entertaining about 150 guests. I have been to parties before and have been asked to bring something and had no problem with it myself. My mom thinks it is rude though. My question is is it rude and what would be the proper way to mention on invitation?

My boyfriend and I have been living together for about one year now, and we get along great, but I need help in one area. What is the best way to motivate him to help around the apartment more. He works normal ours when i work varied hours. I work retail so I work on the weekends. So on my days off all his crap builds up and now Im getting frustrated. The other day we went to the mall to get his mom a mothers day present, and as we walked past the jewelry shop i jokingly stated we should go in there cause there was a sale. He refuses to go into jewelry shops normally. This time he was like ok and we ended up looking at engagement rings and he even let me try some on. Is he messing with my head or could this mean something? he winked at me a couple of times and was smiling the whole time.

I have been having some trouble lately,Ihave been getting winded very easily,I am a little overwieght. i have been having some pain in my chest on the left side, but sometimes i get on right side also, this morning i woke up and was a little short of breath. this started after getting over a nasty sinus infection. I am a little worried.
