I'm a somewhat depressed 13-year-old girl, but I'm living life to the lif-ey-est... I guess... anyway... I love this website so much. Thank you to anyone who ever commented on my writings, you've helped. :) I've written a few novels within my short lifetime. I have two that are about 300 pages, one that is about 240, one about 135, and one I'm currently working on. I have bad comprehension, and I see it as a problem, but I try. Thanks to anyone who reads and to those of you that don't hate me.
Help putting these names together?
Three girls names I have are Autumn, Airelynn and Rosalie. For middle names I was thinking
Rosalie Denn-Avril,
Airelynn Rain
Autumn Lydia
Other middle name ideas were Devonne, Taylor, Cailey, Alice, Antonia, Zenaide, Hayden and Winter. Any other suggestions would be great.
Boys, I need four names, but so far I like Denyon, Ronan and Derek, but I don't have a fourth or any middle names.
Any suggestions would be great, thank you!
(I'm a writer, and I'm trying to hunt for character names... thanks!)
4 AnswersBaby Names7 years agoMiddle names for Copper?
In a novel of mine, my character is going to have a daughter and her name is going to be Copper, last name, Haverland. I was thinking about Ann or Alice for her middle name, but I'm not sure they're flowing all too well. Does anyone have suggestions?
10 AnswersBaby Names7 years agoBooks that Authors didn't Name?
What are some books that authors, per say, wrote, but then the companies changed the name to something else? If you know any, could you state what the author had titled it and then what it was changed to? Any links would be helpful as well, thank you. I'm a writer and I've just been pondering on this for a while.
1 AnswerBooks & Authors7 years agoWhat is your favorite boy/girl name?
One of each or more, if you'd like. I just love names and I'm a writer, and I've always been told I like really weird names... but what are your preferences, and why, if you might?
14 AnswersBaby Names7 years agoHelp with naming characters?
I'm a novelist, so, I figured here might be a good place to ask for names, anyway. I need a name for my character's father. His last name is Manderin, his mother's name is Carolyn and his father's is undecided... any ideas for that is helpful too, thank you. Born around the 70s or 60s... he has a little sister named Charlotte, ("Charlie"). I was thinking Phillip, do you like that, Phillip and his sister Charlie Manderiin?
Thank you!
5 AnswersBaby Names7 years agoCan you help me in titling my stories?
In order, I have written two novels titled 'Calderin Again' and 'Cailey Anon'. The main character is Cailey and her best friend is Calderin. Cailey had been dating a boy named Andrew, and I liked having the C and the A in the titles, the two words, because one letter was the beginning of each of their names. I'm planning a third and fourth novel for the series. The third will be Cailey and Andrew's baby girl's name (Copper) and the fourth will be the name of Cailey's deceased grandmother (Carrie), though it will just mostly mention her as Cailey raises her children. (I know, I know, this sounds boring but there's more to the plot, but it's complex).
While trying to find a good A adjective to go with Copper, I thought about possibly switching the series up and not using the C A thing for the last two books. Since the first two title's names were between best friends, and the last two are great-granddaughter to great-grandmother, despite their never meeting, do you think I should/have any suggestions for titles for either? If I'm being vague or you need more information, I'll add to this, I apologize! Thank you!
Not everyone in the novel has a name that starts with C. Calderin's siblings' names start with H and D. Cailey's, S,S, and L. Andrew's, J. Everyone with a C name is Cailey, Calderin, Copper, and Carrie. This brought up previous confusion for some unknown reason, so I decided to mention it.

2 AnswersBooks & Authors7 years agoIs this a vital mistake?
So, I've written a few novels through the first person point of view, in past tense. But here's where I run into a problem... when the characters are just narrating, I have them use the word "I'm" rather than "I was." Is that a problem, in past-tense writing? I've seen it, just where the character is narrating, and I wasn't sure if it was something i had to correct.
Another potential problem is when I have the narrator add "'s" to something, like, example, "I'm not sure. Her generation's weird." Just in narrating (Sorry, I really wanted to clarify that. And if I don't capitalize my I's, sorry, my eyes hurt and I can't tell if it's right or not)
So, do I have to fix what I mentioned above, or is it fine? I'm not sure if this is a dumb question or not. It's just been hitting at my brain as wrong, and I wasn't positive.
2 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoTypically, which gender do you imagine this name?
For a story of mine, one of my characters is going to have a child. The series of novels have the characters' names in the title, and I wanted to find a name for the baby that wouldn't instantly give the gender away. I looked through many websites, and I found the name Copper. I thought it would be an adorable name (all of them have to start with the letter C for the title thing to work out... it's a long story) And whenever I asked someone, they said it sounded like a boy's name. I myself am still unsure of which gender the child will actually be.
Which do you think it would fit better for? Or, if you were to see the name Copper on a list, would you picture the person a boy or girl?
10 AnswersBaby Names8 years agoIf you traditionally publish, can you help design your book's cover?
I have a friend who self-published a novel. (If you want to check it out, here're the links to it. I don't know how it's going to turn out, because she's a young girl and I don't think she's that good of a writer, but if you look at it and review it or something, it might be helpful.

Anyway, after she self-published, I realized how much I don't want to go the same direction. I have one major question, however--if I traditionally publish my book, I know that someone else is to do the cover art. But is it possible that I would be able to help with the design?
4 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoWhich would make more sense?
Okay, so in my story, the main character is a cabin leader at a science camp for sixth graders. The camp starts afternoon Monday and ends early morning Friday. During camp, she meets a girl in her group (let's just call her A) and grows a bond to her after she finds out about her family problems.
After camp on the Friday, my main character goes to the store with her little brother and sister, and bumps into another cart, where MC finds A with one of her parents. This is where I got stuck. Originally, I was planning on A being with her mother, but then I thought her father could be an option. MC knows the girl's parents from a relationship she had with one of A's brothers before he died over ten years ago. I figured moms usually go shopping more often, but A fell out of a tree during camp and hurt herself, so would it make sense to have her father trying to spend some time with her while getting chores done.
So... which scene do you think would be better? I'm just really stuck, and some suggestions might open my eyes to the possibilities. Thanks.
4 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoIs it beneficial to wait until after college to publish a book?
I'm thirteen, and I write novels. I've had many people tell me they're wonderfully written, and I plan to send one of the novels in to a publishing company at some point in September. The company is easy to get into for many reasons, so I figured there isn't harm in trying. But would it be better to wait to try and publish after I have a college degree? Would it only bring my chances up, or what?
7 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoHelp with job possibilities for my character?
My character in a book I'm working on has a job, and I wanted it to be a counselor at a camp that is for kids. I've taken the base from a camp I went to for a week during school--one where new groups of kids come every week. I'm not sure if I want my character to be an actual counselor (like, a school counselor) or someone who helps run the hikes or such. Either way, I can't find anywhere an average of how much that would pay. Any websites stating something that has to do with the pay would be nice.
Another thing--my character never got to go to college. She's twenty-seven. So, really, any job suggestions would be nice. I kind of want it to be something that has to do with kids, though, if you have any suggestions.
Thank you so much :)
2 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoHelp comng up with a title?
I wrote a story called Calderin Again a few months ago. The main characters' names are Calderin and Cailey. It's through Cailey's point of view. I'm going to start working on a sequel now, and I didn't know what to call it. I was thinking of maintaining adding 'Again' to the ending.
Here's the plot (not as detailed as it really is, but I don't like putting all my writing on the internet :P )
Cailey adopted a girl from the foster home her friend Calderin works at, and shortly after Caldeirn adopts one of the girls as well, she seems to be sick. They don't talk for a few days, then Cailey finds out that Calderin has had ASPS cancer for about four years and she's devastated to know that her friend doesn't have a likely chance of surviving.
I'm planning on having her die at the end, and I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do with Cailey.
So, if you have any title ideas, whether with the -Again or not, they'd be appreciated.
Thanks!

2 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoWhy is everyone saying Demi Lovato died?
I was showing my sister the "Heart Attack" music video by Demi Lovato because she loves the song and wanted to see it. It kept pausing, and so I started reading the comments and everyone kept saying she died in a car crash? I Googled it, and only found results from an accident in 2010.
Any idea where it came from that she died?
3 AnswersCurrent Events8 years agoHelp finding a Stuart Davis song?
My life skills teacher played us a song that her friend wrote (Stuart Davis) called The Suffering You Know. I've been wanting to make a lyric video with it for her, because I make videos for her all the time, but I can't find it anywhere on Youtube so I can download it.
Here's the song:

But I don't think I can download it from anywhere... is there any way I can get it without buying it? I use listentoyoutube.com for all my other audio files but I'm stumped here.
1 AnswerOther - Music8 years agoHelp finding a song...?
Okay, so this morning I was thinking of the Disney movie Princess Protection Program, and I wanted to find the song that was used in the introduction. I found various websites saying it was "Two Words Collide" by Demi Lovato, but the lyrics aren't in that song. I found another website saying the song was probably "Is it Just Me" By Kari Kimmel. I looked on her Wikipedia page, and found it was correct...
But, I can't find the song ANYWHERE on YouTube. I tried searching Google as well... but I cannot find the song anywhere!! I know I could take it from the movie itself, but I wanted to know if there was a full verson rather than a 28 second version. If you could find the video, and give me the link on here, it'd be great. I've been looking for the past half hour.
Here's the wikia page link, if this will help. There's a chart at the bottom of all her songs that were in movies. Under 2009 you'll find Princess Protection Program:
1 AnswerLyrics8 years agoIs it weird that I WANT to cry?
I know most kids don't like crying... but I just read something on here that crying can help make you feel better... but sometimes it's hard for me to cry, no matter how much I want to. Is that... weird? Someone just called me gay over YouTube, and when someone calls me one name it relates to a lot of others... I just get sad easily...
But is it strange that I want to cry, but.. have a hard time doing it? The answer I read said that it was hormones coming out through the tears, which is why you feel better. I just can't seem to cry... I can a little, but not enough for an acutal tear drop to roll down my cheek...
