  • Windows XP SP2 Vista?

Ok, so I just asked this question and appreciate the feedback but thought maybe to elaborate a bit more!

I repair computers and have done so for 10 yrs now, and never encountered this issue before, granted I am more familiar with past OS than Vista but have worked Vista enough to fix most issues.

The machine is a laptop, Dell Latitude, and I am fixing for a co-worker, As mentioned the start up indicates XP, under MY Computer it even says Windows XP SP2, however upon shutdown it reads Windows Vista Ultimate 2006. I know it is not possible to run two OS on one machine. I will look into the some of the option you all have provided, but I am still at a loss here!

Does XP SP2 have Vista components in it? Of course I am hoping that SP3 fixes the issue when it is FINALLY released, but also thought one of you fine folks could have an idea?

The computer upon shutdown takes almost 2min plus before it is off, I have tried all my tricks (just about)

    any thoughts?

  • XP SP2 with Vista Ultimate?

Not being all that familiar with Vista, I have a machine that shuts down very very slow. My question is this, the computer has Windows XP SP 2 but also seems to have Vista Ultimate. The sign on says XP and the sign off say Vista Ultimate, is this possible? Is this apart of the SP 2 features?

  • Ladies Opinion?

My thoughts for Valentines day, which we will be celebrating on the weekend rather than tonight.

Plan to turn my living room into a night time cafe, with ivy, flowers, candles, cobble stone tiles, nice music and of course will be making dinner for her. Would you be happy with something like this?
