i am not American so i have no idea how SuperBowl works or What is it actually except for some some special football match season. Anyway my question is why aren't any TV shows like NCIS, The Vampire Diaries etc. coming on from past 2/3 weeks?

Just recently i have finished reading "Charlaine Harris' Novels (Sookie Stackhouse Series)" & earlier i read "Vampire Diaries" and both were published before "Twilight Series" now that both of them have been turned into successful TV series - i was wondering how can no one else spot out the very obvious similarities! Stephenie Meyer has clearly taken the best parts out of different Vampire based books/movies and put them together in her own 4 books, i'm not saying i didn't enjoy reading them but there are sooo many things similar to what i have read & seen in other books and movies, Twilight Series is not an original idea at all... but no one else seems to see that!
