i don't like libreoffice or new openoffice on newest ubuntu since it handle differently my old ods(openoffice) documents macros. so i'm stuck with 9.10 but i like chrome for it's cloud printing feature.

anybody know how to install chrome on 9.10?

I have roasted grinded luwak coffee from 2009, it is safe to drink?

I knew a friend who is very fragile and little bit spoiled because she is used to be rich wife but then divorced.. i support her during hard times by comforting her and provide her a job but then she is little bit spoiled and unprofessional. Her life is a mess, living in small apartment with two kids with lot of toys, no furniture.. her father is drunk old man and mother has passed away.. so I try to arrange her life to better living.. I told her this and that as a boss and a friend to make her life better since she seems don't have a life guidance.

But she didn't like that and like things going unplanned without attempt to change. then I snapped I fired her for being unprofessional and irresponsible for her and her children life.

Now it's been 3 weeks since I fired her.. she is angry of me of course but i worried about her.

should I just forget her? I'm not her boyfriend or perhaps any relation to her but to know that i might ruin her life by firing her is really a constant headache..

My friend are divorced with 2 kids, she worked as a store manager, she live in small cheap rent room with her kids. I am a store owner. She bring her kids to work place after school sometimes her children are quiet and do homework. but sometimes as normal children do, they quarrel and noisy. So I offer her an empty house I have, just 30 minute from work and offer her a baby sitter paid by me.. but she always refused my offer and said that she happy and want things going just the way it is right now.. meaning working with her kids tagging along. so last week i ultimate her take my free house and free baby sitter or loose your job and go find another job.. she choose to leave.. and I feel so lost and little bit lonely suddenly... Now that she's gone kinda miss her kids noise and "buddy" talk we share... oh i am so confused... am i a jerk? should i apologize ?
