  • Washing husband's wallet?

Do other wives have this problem? I never remember to check my husband's pockets for his wallet before I wash his clothes. I think it's his responsibility to remove his belongings from his own pockets when he removes his pants. I have washed his wallet at least 6 times so you'd think he would learn to take his wallet out when he takes off his pants. The problem is, his pants never end up in the laundry basket. He takes them off and leaves them all over the house. Eventually I have to pick them up becuase I get sick of seeing them in the living room, in the guestroom, in the dining room. You name it, his pants end up everywhere he decides to step out of them. Usually I can tell when they're dirty (when he's been doing yard work or other sweaty jobs) so I toss them in the laundry basket. If they're somewhat clean (meaning only worn to the office) I move them to our bedroom and toss them on the chair with about 12 other pieces of clothing that end up there. He never takes his wallet out, and I never remember to check his pants pockets. How do we solve this and who's responsibility to keep up with his own stuff?

  • Can weight gain shift?

For most of my life I've been underweight. Up until I turned 38 the most I ever weighed was 120 lbs (I'm 5'4) a few years later I ballooned to 150 lbs.and that weight stuck around for about 5 years. My boobs went from 34B to 38D my butt seemed huge and I hated having a thick waistline. I despised every photo of myself but nothing seemed to get the weight off. I'd get up every day at 5:30 and ride my bike for 30 min. At night it was another work out for an hour; I cut portions, cut out sweets but nothing seemed to work! Five years later I joined Nutrisystems and lost 25 lbs.in 4 weeks by surviving on 700 calories a day. I kept it off for 3 years but gradually the weight returned. But this time I don't look fat. My boobs are smaller (36C) I have a waistline, my butt seems less large this time around. In photos I don't cringe when I see myself. But the scale tells me I'm back to 150 lbs. which I hate. But what gives? Why did I feel and look so huge before when I weighed the same (and don't say that it's muscle because I really don't work out that much anymore). It's just so strange. Should I try to lose some weight? I really think I'd be healthier at 140 lbs but because I don't detest my body I'm not motivated to do much. I watch my portions; I don't eat sweets or drink cokes. I have healthy habits but I hate knowing I weigh so much even though I don't look fat anymore. Isn't that strange?

  • My dog is very sick, very suddenly - Is there any hope?

My 6 year old Italian Mastif dog has been diagnosed with Hemolytic Immune Anemia when we discovered he was passing blood in his urine and seemed lethargic. He was fine earlier that day, so it hit really fast. We googled the disease and the information was very grim. I am so heartbroke! Has anyone had a pet with this diagnosis and did you have a positive outcome? I am just torn to pieces!!! My vet says it's a fairly common illness but we've never heard of it, neither has anyone we've asked.

  • How do (some) women over 40 stay so thin?

Why is it so hard to lose belly fat after 40? I can't stand having a pooch and I miss my tiny little waistline! Yes I'm sure a little of it is metabolism, because I don't have time to be as active as I used to, so 25 lbs crept on on me during my late 30's. So I've been working out since January (New Years Resolution) I use my treadmill and some aerobic DVD's almost daily. On the week-ends I do yard work, I go bike riding and stay in motion.. I try to eat between 1,000 -1,200 calories a day; I've cut out fast foods, cokes, sweets and reduced my carbs. So why has it taken me 9 months to lose 10 measly pounds? It's so frustrating! I used to have such a cute figure! But I still seem "thick" in the middle and seeing myself from the side-view is gross! I can't lose the gut no matter how many sit ups, push ups, squats, fat-burning I can fit into a day. Urgh! I see other women who are my age but they look so thin how do they do it??? I literally hate wearing jeans anymore because they're all low-rise which means I have an unsightly roll hanging over the top. I'm not ready to look like a middle aged woman but my body is fighting me! What should I do?....

  • Weird experience while getting high?

Help! I took a hit off of friend's""pipe" and inhaled deeper than I ever have before. About 10 min. later I felt like my throat and lungs were still burning, like the smoke was still oozing out of my lungs. Then about 10 min. later I started feeling tingling, my skin was clammy but my heart was racing so fast I thought it was going to explode. It felt terrible! I've never had that exprience when smoking a bong or pipe. It usually makes me s-l-o-w down, not speed up! I felt like I'd been given a shot of adenaline. My head was woozy but I felt like I was in slow motion, but my heart was running so fast, like I was in a marathon. I started to get a little scared. My b/f says pipes with larger holes force you to take more smoke in when you take a hit, the extra smoke doing deeper into my lungs and he says it may have brought on my body's response to a lack of oxygen, so my body went into "flight mode" and pumped me full of adrenaline. I personally think it was laced with cocaine or speed. The worst of it wore off in about an hour, but I still felt woozy and like I was in someone else's body. Luckily my heart started slowing down but continued to beat faster than normal. I still feel like my lungs are on fire, like there's smoke trapped down in there and it can't get out so it's just smoldering my lung tissues away. What happened to me? Did I get drugged by something other than plain ole weed? Has anyone ever had this experence?

  • Can a sinus infecton cause dizziness?

The wind is blowing terribly today and my boyfriend, who tends to have allergies in the spring says he's been feeling dizzy all day. Could it be an allergy attack or something else?...He hasn't been sick, and his blood pressure is controlled on medication. He doesn't drink, smoke or take any other medications but I'm concerned about him. He says he feels really tired and dizzy, though he's sleeping 7-8 hrs each night. Should I be worried?

  • What causes large volumes of urinating, without any pain, fever or burning?

What causes frequent, large volumes of urination that has a slightly weird smell, but otherwise no pain, no burning, no fever, just sudden increased urges to go to the bathroom and peeing what feels like buckets of urine! I normally drink a couple of bottles of water a day, so I'm not doing anything different. The only other symptom was slight fatigue which I felt most of the day. It's Sunday so I can't call my doctor; obviously I'm not worried enough to go to the ER but it is concerning....? Anyone know much about this?

  • Is it common to have large clots during your montly period?

I actually stopped my period 3 days ago. Then today, out of the blue I felt this weird "gush" when I went to the bathroom. It was a large mushy clot of blood, then I started bleeding like my period was back again. I've never had this happen before. Is this normal? It seems like the blood was just gushing out of me, but no pain, hardly any menstral cramping but it has me worried.

  • Weight loss after age 50?

My Mom is so frustrated about losing weight. She eats really healthy and tries to fit in a little exercise every day even though she works long hours yet she cannot seem to lose any weight. She's like 30 lbs.overweight but I know she used to be really thin (like only 115 lbs.). What works for women who are older?

  • Any advice for discolored toenails?

Both of the nailbeds on my big toes are discolored with white spots, and the left one is sort of grayish. I think I dropped something on it a few months ago, or could it be fungus? I wear alot of nail polish and I admit, I'm guilty of not letting my nails breathe as much as I should. Will this discoloration eventually grow out and go away?
