Has anyone ever heard of a occupation where you're trying to find extremely wealthy investors to invest in something like a goldmine?...?
I have an acquaintance who's been working for years calling people regularly and trying to convince them to invest in a goldmine, or some such thing. The details I have are kind of sketchy, but it involves some rich oil sheik(s) from Saudi Arabia, needing to get big-money, private investors because banks don't have that kind of money. Million dollar commissions when a deal closes (which one never has in many years). No base salary. Commissions are verbal promises (nothing in writing). This acquaintance of mine talk on the phone extensively, day in and day out, but nothing ever comes of anything.
If you've heard of such a job/scam, can you provide links to where I may find out more about it? Thank you.
5 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment5 years agoHow can you help someone who cannot seem to function in life?
I have a younger brother who's 47 years old, and cannot seem to get his act together. He loses things like EBT cards, Access Card, cell phones, etc. He can hold a job for a few years, but he will quit on a whim, and expect family members to allow him to stay with them. He doesn't have a single penny to his name. His assets include a motor home, a van, and some clothes (the vehicles sitting in my other brother's driveway, abandon)
He had a girlfriend, who was recently arrested for assaulting him, whom he thought he was going to marry, even though the relationship had been going on for more than 5 years.
When you confront him, he makes all of his reasoning sound logical, but you just know from listening to him that nobody could have that many problems all at once.
So, can anyone please help me? I would like to know what's going on in his head, and/or what could be said to try and reason with him. Or, where can I turn to for counselling / intervention / advice, etc..
Thank you.

9 AnswersPolitics6 years agoCan we go back to unaffordable healthcare?
Healthcare was cheaper when it was unaffordable than it is now that is affordable. I'm all for affordable healthcare, when it's affordable. But, when affordable healthcare is unaffordable, we clearly need to go back to unaffordable healthcare so everyone can afford it.

It cannot really be for lying because that's all NBC does, LOL !
Also, he only lied to the people who want to hear, and believe, lies anyway.
I'm not seeing the problem. Bring back Brian Williams.
7 AnswersPolitics6 years agoIs the Republican party now for amnesty, nationalized health care, common core, and the belief in man made climate change?
I'm asking because Romney will have a commanding lead in the polls if he throws his hat into the ring, and he's for all those things. Is this the new Republican party?
