  • I need advice on bass fishing rod, can you help?

    I am retired now and would like to take up fishing for largemouth bass. I have purchased some abu garcia 5600ab reels , but the rod terminology has me wondering. Length of rod, heavy action, light ,medium? I will for the most part be bank fishing in a fairly brushy lake.(Grand Lake in west central Ohio). I would like to keep the price reasonable $80 to $100 each. What type do you think? Thanks for the help, rationale behind choices would be helpful, so that I can learn from this. Thanks again.
