Is it Legal to throw catalogues on non-private properties to promote business.?
I work for a company in PA selling frozen food products and we get new catalogues every two months, and the old ones get thrown out. Im wondering if I wrap the old ones in a plastic bag and throw them on in driveways/lawns, while I run my route, if I'll get myself in trouble.
3 AnswersSmall Business5 years agoDoes a random code generator app for facebook exist? (For business purposes with music)?
Im booking bands for a local venue, and came up with this great idea. Most bands in my area dont get paid so Im looking for a way to give back to our local musicians. Instead of percentages or making the bands sell Xamount of tickets before receiving profit, I thought up a cool system to give the bands Xamount of personal cards that work as credit. In simple terms, band hands out cards, customer (fans) come in venue with card and receives a discount advance ticket price.... and band receives Xamount (full, half, quarter price) of ticket value. I really want this to work because it gets the bands paid, gets customers a cheaper price, and shows us (the venue) whose bringing the most fans.
Everything seems simple until you realize bands can easily hand out cards outside the venue explaining the cheaper price they'll receive. This will not bring in customers, it will just make it cheaper for those who already showed up.
So here's my idea.. Im hoping to find a random code generator app to put right on our venue's facebook. I print random codes on each card I give to bands. For customers to receive the advanced ticket sale price, they have to go to our facebook and confirm their code. (also hoping I can make it so they have to 'Like' our facebook first) Also, I need to be able to see the codes that have been confirmed from our facebook on a single clean page (no notifications) listing the people's names or profile link (picture)
So John Smith gets his card from 'The Terroristic Pillows', he then goes to our facebook and 'Likes' our facebook, and puts in his code, verifying it.
He then comes to our venue and gives us his card... I check our facebook, his code is clearly confirmed, as our lovely code generator app says so. And he receives the advanced ticket price.
To anyone who can find me an app like this, or something along the lines, I will gladly try to work out some kind of reward.. not sure how through the internet, but if you can answer that too you got it :)
1 AnswerOther - Entertainment10 years agoI love finding underrated progressive metal bands, suggestions?
Im REALLY picky with my music, generally I listen to progressive metal, but that term is meaninglessly thrown around way to much now. I dont believe in labeling or genres, but alot of bands I listen to also fall under metalcore, mathcore, any kind of metal fused with elements or classical or jazz among others, and some djent.. such as Periphery.
That doesnt really matter though.. I hate repetition, I like my music to be a journey, so almost anything with a chorus is crossed off. I want things technical, with an original sound, frequent smooth transitions, and overall creative musicianship. When it come to vocals, Im turned off by MOST high pitch singing, whether it be emo style, or 80's style. If its metal.. it should have screaming though. Most of what I listen to is instrumental anyways!!
Heres some bands:
--Between the Buried and Me - ( will prob always be my obsession, they're everything I described above, and changed my taste for music, THEY RUINED EVERYTHING I USED TO LISTEN TOO! :D
INSTRUMENTAL LIST..
-Amogh Symphony
-Sleep Terror
-Blotted Science
-Electro Quarterstaff
-Various Artists Project "Guitars that Ate My Brain"
-Animals as Leaders
-Behold.. the Arctopus
-7 for 4
-Liquid Tension Experiment
-Mattias 'IA' Eklund's "Freak Guitar"
-Jonas Hellborgs "Art Metal"
-John Petrucci's "Suspended Animation"
-Keith Merrow
-Mark Hawkins "Assimulated Mind Phase"
FULLY PROGRESSIVE BANDS
-Dream Theater (the original BTBAM.. but dont dig the vocals)
-Cynic
-Sieges Even
OTHER BANDS
Within the Ruins
All Shall Perish
Arsonists Get All the Girls
Born of Osiris
I Wrestled a Bear Once
Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza
Sorry.. I decided to take advantage of the amazing amounts of characters you can use :)
Please keep in mind that the biggest thing I look for in a BAND is originality, how heavy or soft something is doesnt matter to me, although I love mosh pits!! haha
Anyone who even knows half of that list and can further it.. thank you for supporting!! and you should check out others you havent heard!!
