  • Whats' going to happen to me in court?

Well, let me start off by explaining how everything happened. The first arrest took place outside a bar back in October 2010 when I had too much to drink and thought it was a good idea to drive a block away to an after party. Well I was stopped and arrested for a DUI but didn't go to jail just had a court date. At the court date I got my license revoked, community hours, fines, AA classes and what not. So fast forward to February 2011 and I was pulled over again (sober) for a speeding violation and told the police I had my license revoked so he gave me another court date but didn't take me to jail, a court date which I recently had. At the court date for this incident I was given more fines and 30 days in jail, which they let me do in a program called workenders where you just do sort of like community hours on certain days. Well just the other day I was pulled over again for driving and this time was taken into jail and had to post over a thousand and half to bond out of jail. Now I have a court date for May and I'm not sure at what to expect.

I work full time, go to college full time, and I'm a single father of two kids who I share joint custody with. I honestly don't consider myself a bad person but I know I'm messing up and as a man I'm ready to face the consequences for my actions and man up to whatever punishment they dish out. Just seeing if anybody has any advice or has been in any similar situation they could share. I'm considering getting a lawyer (have a few thousand bucks saved up) but I'm in so much trouble right now I just can't find the way out. Any advice or feedback is appreciated, thank you.
