I would take lessons but my mom won't pay for lessons. So my question is how do you properly hold the guitar. I know to play classical and stuff for soloing, you hold it over your left leg (I'm right handed), but I feel discomfort in my shoulders when playing. How do I position my arm also.

Before you dismiss this question read at least the first couple sentences please. I want to make a cult/organization/brotherhood. I know a cult is a religious group but this one will be for atheist. There will be no satanic rituals or any of the such. I just want to make one for people more like me and for peope with a longing to belong. Activities in ths cult/organization/brotherhood will range from playing musical instruments and making various froms of art. People i want to join are people who break away from society norms. I keep finding long brown strands of hair in my underwear. I know it's not pubic hair cause it's straight and thin. I know it's not mine, my hair is black. I know it doesn't belong to anyone in my house cause I was at the laundry mat.

My grandma is the same way and says mental disorders run in the family.

Okay i have a metallic red squier fender electric guitar. I'm gonna replace the neck plate, back plate,jack socket, and pickguard with black ones. Then replace the knobs and pickups with red ones. What do you think.

I have a Yamaha MG102c in my possession and i know you can use it with a guitar amp, but i am wondering what exactly does it do. Does it boost the sound or does it just distort it. Want yo know for sure before for i start messing with stuff.

This is how it all started. I have been wanting to play for about 4 years now, but my mom is really really really cheap. For my 16 birthday i got 250 dollars from my grandma and i was gonna use that to buy a guitar i had my eye on. She took my birthday money away from me and made me borrow one (BORROW) from one of her friends. Her friends bought it years ago (maybe before i was born ). The problem is that it was broken when she gave it to me. The wood around the bridge ( tremolo ) is broken and the springs in the back are so rusty and old they yanked out the screws holding the springs in place. I took off the plastic back to inspect and saw the damage done. The screws holding the springs in place can't be screwed back in and the wood around the bridge is broken the way i can slide it off from the guitar. I know it is beyond repair but can it still play sound the way when i give it back she won't know it is broken. Hell, since she doesn't use it maybe she won't know, unless she tries to give it to someone else

I'd like to know how to extract the bass, drums guitar and other stuff like that from music tracks. I want to use them to play along with on my guitar amp. I saw this one guy do it and I was like dude how you do that. Then he said google is your best friend. Google isnt reliable with these things. Please tell me I must know.

I'm turning sixteen this june 30 and I want a job. At my school, the juniors go on yearly out of state college trips and we have to pay dues and stuff. I also want a job to start paying my own phone bills and to buy myself a guitar before my mom will because i know she won't.
