advice on pre-workout supplements/drinks?
Hi there.
I go to the gym regularly and kettlersize classes twice a week.
I do enjoy taking a pre-work out supplement/fat burner (grenades or semtex etc) but I find they keep me awake at night. I'm aware the key ingredient is mostly caffeine.
Wondering if anyone has any recommendations especially ones that don't keep you awake?
Thanks in advance.
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness7 years agoMOTHERCARE. Faulty product advice for exchange?
Hi there I wonder if anyone who works in retail or for mother care specifically can help me?
Around 4 months ago I purchased a "loved so much" bath box from the store for my baby that was born in February.
Since then the lid has come away from the rest of the box and the internal shelf has snapped clean off. It's either a really cheaply made product or a faulty batch.
It's obviously only been used for the last two months, I've asked in store and over the phone and both have said I can't have an exchange because I no longer have proof of purchase. I'd understand this if they were sold in other stores but it is a mothercare "own brand" item?
I'm normally not one to complain but it's hardly been used if I'm honest and don't think it should break so easily from normal use.
Any advice?

Want to cook for my boyfriend on Friday night but want something I know he'll enjoy. He's a biG meat lover and I'm not the most advanced chef. Ive got starter and desert sorted but want ideas for main. Like the idea of lamb or pork but no idea about flavouring or what to have with it?
4 AnswersCooking & Recipes8 years agoFacebook location "near somewhere" on status?
Hi there just got a new phone the Sony experia Z and it's a change from the iPhone I've had for years and have downloaded the Facebook app.
When I used to update my status it used to say "near maryport" in small letters underneath (I live in a town called maryport) now it's gone and I'd like to turn it back on without "checking in" anywhere specific.
I hope this makes sense but I have no idea where the setting is to change it on the app or elsewhere?
Can anyone help?
1 AnswerFacebook8 years agoBirth certificate mistake done two days ago?
Hi there.
Registered my daughter on Friday (10days old) and the registrar has made the error of automatically putting her surname the same as her fathers (not what I wanted at all) haven't actually noticed until I pulled them out to show my mother this morning.
I've sent an email to the register office but is this something you can change in some way? I'm heartbroken about it as mine and her fathers relationship broke down a few months ago?!
6 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting8 years agoFull term pregnancy are these symptoms labour will be soon?
I am 40 weeks 3 days pregnant with my first baby. I've had the urge to poo since yesterday and nothing's happened (bowel movements or labour starting) and tightenings in my stomach have become more frequent. Not so much painful but did have a few painful ones last night. But the other ones I've had today Go tight and can feel a bit like period pains and pressure pressing down and stomach goes solid.
Also think my mucus plug started coming away this morning. It had a TINY smear of blood in it and was like a sticky clear kind of discharge. Not one I've had before. Baby is still active but not as active as has been.
Also last week had a few "shooting pains" in my vagina? Seeing my midwife for a sweep on Friday but I'm so impatient and I want it all done yesterday!
3 AnswersPregnancy8 years ago40 weeks pregnant, Will they set me off early due to family member dying.?
Hi I'm 40weeks 2 days pregnant and going for a sweep on Friday (13th) if still no sign of bump.
2013 hasn't been a good year for my family and my aunt has terminal cancer. She's been moved onto a ward now and basically is just a waiting game and not sure whether she'll survive to the end of the week. We would be devastated if she didn't get to meet our baby.
Id there any chance they would set me off early if I speak to my midwife?
I've already had a painful pregnancy and finding it hard to stay active due to back and pelvis pain but I can cope with that in the long run. I just don't want to go two weeks over and something happens to my aunt in the mean time, she has said to my partners mum that's all she wants before she dies, meet the baby.
4 AnswersPregnancy8 years ago39 weeks pregnant, will they set me off early with agonising back pain?
Just wondering if anyone's heard of being induced early due to being in alot of pain.
I am seeing my midwife tomorrow and am aware back pain troubles alot of pregnant ladies. I've suffered lower back pain for the last 4 weeks but the last 7 days have been agony- so much so I find it hard to get up and move around and have spent the last week bed/sofa bound as it hurts so much.
The pain is lower in my back and seems to be more in my pelvis I've spoke to midwife on the phone and she's said to "see how it goes" and we'll see how it is Monday as she thought baby was lying on a nerve?
Tried going for a small walk to try move baby etc but it makes the pain worse.
Any other ideas ladies?
2 AnswersPregnancy8 years agoBaby on way. Me and father have split, how to ask people not to make an issue of it?
Our little girl is on her way.
Me and her father have split up, the baby will be staying with me full time but her father will very much be a part of her life.
How do I ask/request people nicely that IF they are sending cards when the baby is born we would both prefer it if they addressed them to me and the father, not just one or the other or directly to the baby.
I want to keep them for when she's older? I was even thinking of putting a status on Facebook to ask people but I'm not sure how to word it nicely?
All I want to say is we don't expect presents or cards but if people insist can they be wrote out to me and the father?
How would you do it?

4 AnswersNewborn & Baby8 years agoMy rescue dog attacks other dogs when she's on a lead?
I have two terriers, one we've had since she was a pup and is fine and another who we got as a 3 year old from a rescue centre who's had a hard life. She was used as "bait" and attacked by other dogs on a regular basis and was found locked in a suitcase and was skin and bone to look at.
At home she is no problem she loves a cuddle and is very affectionate with everyone and is inseperable from my other dog, sleep together and play together all the time. She will quite happily walk with my sisters dog and play with other dogs on the garden as long as she is off the lead, but as soon as she has the restriction of being on a lead and out on a walk she changes when she sees other dogs, firstly lies down then starts growling and snarls at the other dog then tries to pull towards them? Yet if she was loose in one of our fields and another dog came along she'd be fine and would quite happily play.
Any help or advice?
She is booked in to see a dog behaviour specialist mid September but just wondered if anyone else has had this problem?
8 AnswersDogs8 years ago38 weeks pregnant just fallen down the stairs?
Hi I've just fallen down the stairs, 38 weeks pregnant today. Just tried to ring my midwife but no answer and I've left messages? Do I go to A&E for a check up or wait and see if baby moves soon?
7 AnswersPregnancy8 years agoBroken hearted and need some advice how to move forward?
I'm 38 weeks pregnant and my ex has moved on we were together for 4 years and I'm in pieces.
All I wanted for the baby was a perfect family. I'm not going to get it I know that now but I'm heartbroken and I'm making myself ill and I know it can't be good for the baby.
I can hardly eat or sleep, I keep signing into his and her Facebook to see if they're both online to see if they're together, I go on the phone app "whatsapp" to see when he was last active, I can't look forward at all.
I really don't know what to do.
I have good friends and family but all I want is him no matter how much he's hurt me and lied to me.
3 AnswersSingles & Dating8 years agoBaby daddy's moved on? Advice?
Don't know where to start, me and my ex are expecting a baby in 2 weeks. We separated about 10 weeks ago now. That in itself has nearly killed me, I was heartbroken.
He's now moved on with another girl the stress and upset it has caused is unbelievable and obviously can't be good for the baby.
I'm aware he is a complete **** hole for doing this and putting me through this through pregnancy.
I don't want him back now even though I still love him dearly but I do need him to see where his priorities should be. I'm not eating, sleeping, even getting out the house much lately and he can't seem to see its all his doing?
He works away Monday-Friday and returns Friday afternoon, he's done all this and still expects the best of both worlds to be a part time dad and then go flouncing off with his new bird, still expects to be at the birth etc too and the baby to have his surname. And I'm supposed to be ok with this?
I'm worried if I have him there it will be for all the wrong reasons because I want the happy little family that I'm not going to have same with giving the baby the surname.
How do I make him see that the baby is most important now, not some girl he's known 5 minutes. He says it is but he's given up nothing to make sure she has the best start in life!?
He works security on a nightclub Friday and Saturday nights and goes back down to camp on a Sunday? When is this girlfriend going to fit in around his baby or the other way round.
3 AnswersNewborn & Baby8 years agoChild support agency how much are we entitled to?
My husbands left me and my child is due in 3 weeks?
I am currently on a monthly wage of around £1000 and my husband is currently on around £2500. He's living with parents now so has no major "outgoings" and the child support I will be receiving will be going through CSA as I cannot trust him to continue paying it.
Anyone any idea how much I will be entitled to?
He has no other children etc?
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics8 years ago35 weeks pregnant achy groin in mornings?
Hi this is quite hard to describe I'm 35 weeks and 4 days pregnant. Last few days I've been getting up and it's been sore in my groin and right between my legs, not stingy but like an aching muscle. I ride horses (well did before I fell pregnant) and honestly feels like I've been on the longest ride ever and came home and done loads of squats.
Finding it hard to get up and gives a whole to meaning to the term "walking like John Wayne"
Anyone else experienced this? Mentioned it to my midwife and she just agreed with me, didn't tell me what it could be? Am I just stiff? It eases off after a few hours but its really sore first thing?
