  • My graphics card is slow to start, but gets better as the computer runs?

    I have an NVIDIA 260GTX in my laptop and for some reason it has gotten to be much slower than it used to be. I used to be able to run Crysis on high settings at 30-40 fps right after start up, but that is no longer possible. I'm not really sure what I could have done...I don't have a virus and reinstalling the latest graphics driver did not solve the issue.

    The curious thing is that if I allow the game to "build up" maybe play a less graphically intense game first, then my PC will warm up to Crysis, and it will look a lot better.

  • How do I get my laptop from Auburn's presidential scholarship?

    I am thinking about attending Auburn for college, and I was awarded they're presidential scholarship that covers tuition, study abroad, and a 1500$ "technology allowance."

    My question is how will I go about getting my laptop from them? will I be able to just use the 1500 stipend anywhere I want, or will I have to buy/ lease one of the ones at Auburn?

  • I need a wireless adapter for my PC.?

    I have tried a linksys USB wireless adapter, and it just wasnt running fast enough. I would sit right next to my desktop and get 4.8 mb/s speeds on my laptop, and not even be able to load the speakeasy page on my desktop.

    Any suggestions? It does not have to be usb, in fact im leaning toward a PCI card.

    Also, my router is a good distance away from my pc, and i am running wireless G from a secured linksys router.

    Before I ask, let me say that I'm not an idiot or a redneck or any of that crap. I was wondering if it was legal to have a firearm on a college campus. It would only be a rifle and a shotgun and the only reason I would keep it on campus is because i will go to college out of state, and when I go hunting it would piss me off if I had to drive home just to pick up my guns.

  • Upgrading ford f-150 speakers?

    I am looking to buy some better speakers for my f150.

    It is a 1998 v8 extended cab version. I would like to know what size speakers I need, possibly a few suggestions, and anything I may need to install them.

    I have a sony xplod stereo and I am not planning on running a sub woofer. I like mid base, nothing too loud or heavy, but I dont want to blow my speakers. I mostly listen to rock/alternative
