this is going to sound a bit strange but here goes:

I'm getting ready to add swimming to my daily training. (I'm going for my first mini-tri!) I want to jump in the lake, swim along the shore, then get out and run home. I'm looking for a waterproof, floating canister that will hold my running shoes and a shammie towel that I can tow behind me while I swim. I've been scouring the net but I guess I'm not coming up with the correct "key words" in my search. I'm picturing something like the "baywatch rescue can" but that unscrews to store gear in. Or a bigger version of the many canisters they have for keys, wallets and cell phones. Any ideas?

Been getting sick the past week, fever and sore throat. Woke up Sunday morning and throat was so inflamed that I could hardly breath. Friend took me to the Emergency Room, was treated on site and had some relief after the pain medications and anti-inflamitories, even got a Rx for antibiotics (5-day zpack) and lortab elixer......When will I start feeling better? I feel worse now than I did this morning, other than now I can breathe. How long does it usually take the zithromax to kick in?

The Lemonade diet? I enjoy doing a few days of a juice fast, and am feeling the need to do another one. I just don't have the time right now and was wondering if anyone has tried this one.

.....and are first to give an honest opinion on pros and cons.

Did anybody else feel the hurt after watching Shaun White wipeout Saturday night at the Winter X Games? A true champion....he went on to win with an AMAZING run!

Just wondering what you though when you saw him slam into the wall like that.....

I thought it was absolutely crazy and can't believe the medical staff let him ride again less then 15 minutes later....but he did pull it off!

There was a recipe for a deep dish caramel apple pie in a woman's magazine about 10 years ago. I've made this pie several times....but lost the recipe in a move. I have looked everywhere and am hoping someone else has it. Please help! It is baked in a springform pan. The crust is "started" with a tube a sugar cookie dough, with nuts and spices added to it and baked, then the apples and caramel filling is added and baked, then the topping is added and baked. Finished with an icing drizzle. It was very time consuming but most AMAZING! I think the recipe originally was in Woman's Day.

Anybody out there do crossfit? and don't you LOVE it? or What do you think of it?

Has anyone seen the new infomercial for a lateral stepper that has handlebars that twist. I want it but can't find it anywhere online. I thought it was called something like "complete twist" or something. Please help me find this product. I want to buy a stepper and I think this is the one for me.

Anyone know a great instant set-up tent, the kind that you basically just shake out and stake out, that's easy to pack in? I do alot of backcountry camping in the most beautiful places in MT, but I like the getting to camp, not spending all day setting up camp. I'm not looking for a large one, just a 2 person.

I used to have a great tent, but when the ex left, he took it with him. Links would be appreciated.

I just broke up with the love of my life.....he has too many addictive issues. (he chose alcohol over the life we had built together!) Anyway, I am getting older, late 30's, and we had been talking alot lately about having a baby....this is something that I really want. The thing I most wanted was to have his baby, but that's no longer an option.

Would you ever, if you were in my situation, consider doing the sperm bank thing? I have a 17 year old already, but really want another child. I am financially secure, so don't factor that in.

Anyone ever had to take out a restraining order....did it just make the person more mad? I haven't slept in weeks and now when I thought I would feel more safe, I'm worried about how the person will react when he is served. I think I am actually more afraid now then I was before....Anybody got any encouraging things to say....I could use them right now. I know I did the right thing, leaving an abuser but, I'm a little lonely and scared right now. He has all our friends and aquaintances convinced that I'm the crazy one....I've only just learned that that is a classic abuser tactic to isolate me and make me feel unloved and crazy. Kind of a gaslighting technique.

Anyway...sorry to be so needy here of all places but star me if you'll keep my in your prayers tonight!

Here is the situation. I live in Montana with my boyfriend whom I love dearly. We are both in our late 30's. His family is in Ohio. I speak with his mother on a regular basis but haven't met her yet. My bf works at a bar and has always partied, but was never cruel or violent...until St. Patrick's day. He became phyically abusive and I have had to call the police on him on occassion since then. We live together, yet I haven't seen him sober in over a month. He is delusional on occassion and has had alcoholic blackouts. He thinks that I am picking on him and that he doesn't have a problem. The question...should I call his mother and let her know what is going on? He will think that I am doing it to be a B***ch, but I do love him and want him to get help. If I do this, it will destroy what little bit of our relationship we are hanging on to...but his life is worth it. I'll lose him forever, but what he is now isn't the man I fell in love with. What should I do?

Not to sound stupid, but I believe that he will never do that again. The problem is that he doesn't remember any of it except me defending myself. In his mind, I attacked him! He keeps saying that he is moving out, yet still comes home drunk every night. I've told him that he is not welcome in the house if he is drunk but he still has the key. Last night he came home so drunk, think David Hasselhoff eating the cheeseburger off the floor, that I just left him there when he passed out, face-down on the floor. I love him but hate the drunk. Was I wrong to leave him there? I did check on him later and he had made his way to the couch.

The house is in my name, I pay most of the bills, I love my house and I love my boyfriend. Something happened to him about a month ago. I don't know what, that made him change. He's basically been on a bender since then and has lost touch with reality. He has smeared me as a crazy, psyco-b**ch to all our friends and tells them that he is afraid that I will "put him in the morgue or in jail." He is the one the physically attacked me! He still comes home most nights after the bar closes, but we haven't said 10 words to each other in almost a month. (Let alone slept in the same bed) It's not healthy and I need some space. I know it's our home, but I can't help but feel that it's my house! Why do I have to leave? I can't afford to leave and keep paying for the house, and I don't want to, nor can I afford to lose my house. I love him, but until he gets some help, I can't live with him. Advice please!
