What's an easy, free way to host a private online discussion board?
I'm not very technical, and Facebook and Yahoo seem to be lacking in forum hosting.

Talk about unintended consequences!
3 AnswersPolitics10 years agoDid Obama's speech make any sense?
In his speech, he managed:
...to argue that tax hikes were good...and bad
...to argue that he followed an ideology of compromise, but that all ideology is bad
...to argue that "waste, fraud and abuse", which are helping pay for health care reform, can also help pay for future deficits
...to argue that he is not responsible for deficits caused by two wars that he continued and expanded, against his campaign promises
...to argue that Medicare Part D is more expense than we can afford, but Medicare Part E(verything) isn't
...to argue that entitlements are creating massive deficits, but "modest adjustments" will solve that
...to argue that we need more money for roads and bridges, while admitting a lot of the stimulus was spend preventing layoffs at the state level
...that increases in the debt ceiling are fairly routine, but we cannot possibly do it again in 6 months
...that too much spending is not the problem, but that a short extension is not acceptable because "it doesn't solve the problem"
...that we should put politics aside, yet he does not criticize the Democratic leadership in the Senate, whose proposals are not good enough for him either
...that Americans "who held fast to rigid ideologies and refused to listen to those who disagreed....are not the Americans we remember", but that we should celebrate victories over slavery and in gaining civil liberties. Victories won, of course, because of famous American's rigid ideologies.
His speech refuted itself.
11 AnswersPolitics10 years agoWill Obama outline specific ideas for reforming entitlements tonight?
Key word is "specific". His tactic so far has been to make everyone else come up with specifics, which can be easily mocked, while keeping his own rhetoric all pretty and flowery. He has an opportunity to change tonight.

Is it the size of the group? Is it whether it is bipartisan? Is it whether they support the other party?
If "the rich" are considered a special interest group, why aren't "the poor"?

1 AnswerPolitics1 decade agoWhy didn't Harry Reid force a vote on expanding unemployment benefits instead of letting Bunning block it?
"By the way, Democrats could end Mr. Bunning's stand by invoking cloture and getting the 60 votes they need to proceed. Mr. Reid won't do that because he thinks he's scoring points using Mr. Bunning to define Republicans as "obstructionists." So who's playing politics here?"

They could rotate various types of rich people through there on a regular basis.
