My son has been accused of racism at school!?
My son had a recent warning from school because another child told him to play a game with a child from school (i am not sure of his ethnicity but i think he is Hindu by religion) the other child told my son to say "I eat cow!" now that I understand would offend him, but my son didn't know this! My son apparently said to one of his friends "I am an Indian....!" (he was going to continue with because I eat Indian food) and the same child overheard him and said that he was being racist he also pointed out that he was being racist with the first incident! My son does not know what racism is (or he didn't until now)! My son is 10 years old he is not racist and did not understand what it was and to be honest I don't understand how he was racist the second time. Now he has just been told he has had a final warning for being racist and that if this happens again he will be expelled.I would really like it if anyone who understands about this and particularly anyone who understands within a school environment to explain to me if the school have dealt with this the right way and if what he said was really racist. I am really upset about it personally I think that people are we are all just people yes we do all have different beliefs and opinions and I respect that totally so wouldn't class myself as a racist person and hate that my son has been told he is being racist and personally think he has not tried to be. I am annoyed that the other child told him to say what he did the first time and we addressed it when we knew about it. I am also really surprised that another child would say to my son your a racist because I don't understand how he even knew what racism was and wonder what he has been hearing learning about it!?
6 AnswersOther - Society & Culture9 years agoAdvice about managing my Grandfathers money?
My Grandfather has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's he recently inherited money from a relative and other family members have borrowed twelve thousand pounds to buy a car. I have been told to get power of attorney recently but I felt that at the moment he still should have some say in his finances although he does rely on my support with it another relative also helps and she went to the bank with him to withdraw this money for the car. She did not consult me about the decision or even tell me that this had happened when i confronted her she wanted to know how i found out as if i wouldn't notice such a large sum of money being withdrawn!? She told me that this was a loan and they would be paying it back, she also told me she didn't think she should question the amount they wanted to borrow i feel had i of been consulted i would question this! He is confused about the amount he lent them and seems shocked by the amount. I really don't know what i should do please if anyone knows more about the condition and how to deal with this situation i would really appreciate your answers thank you.
