I have worked at the same place for 5 years. All of them are bi-lingual and I am not. Most of our customers are Spanish speaking. I can type about 50% of the work in Spanish, but need help with the others. I ring up the customers in Spanish, but can't answer questions. The customers know there are Spanish speakers, so they won't even let me try and help them, then I don't get the work to type. I do everything else that I can do to try and make up for my lack of a second language. I was the person to help open the business because I have been doing it for 19 years. The boss now says she would never have hired me. We are union and they grandfathered me in as non bi-lingual, but I am constantly being told I have to do 75% of what the others do. Our hours prevent me from taking classes. I am also 50 and fall under disability rules. My boss is trying everything she can to get rid of me. What do you think?
