Okay so I got my nostril pierced a month ago, this isn't my first piercing and I know how to take care of my piercings.

Normally I would just forget about my new piercing (apart from cleaning) for the next five to ten months until I was certain it was totally healed, but I have an emergency. I'm off to attend my third family member's funeral this year and my family are very conservative. My tattoos and ear piercings are generally ignored and hidden around them as much a possible.

My nose is healing very well, no redness, no infection, generally doing very well for a new piercing and I was hoping someone would have some advice on if I could change the screw out for a clear one/skin tone one for this trip. I'd be happy to leave the new jewellery in until my piercing is a bit older, or change it back whenever, and yes I know I shouldn't be changing it this early and frankly I'd rather leave it alone, but while I can explain it to my mum and it won't be the end of the world my Granpa just lost his twin and I don't want to stress him any further (he's not well himself and is 89)

So, any advice here would be great. And if you do think changing it out would be at all possible what would you recommend I use, I've heard that bioflex stuff isn't actually great for you. Thanks in advance.
