  • How do I start my story?

I am writing a fan fiction right now and I'm several chapters in, but I don't like my first chapter. My character is an introvert and she doesn't come across another character, let alone talk to anyone, for several chapters. My beginning is just "Hi, my name is..." (Its from her point of view) And I'm looking for a better way to introduce her. Any ideas are welcome. No rude answers please.

  • What is an appropriate present for my son to get his teacher?

I just found out that my sons kindergarten teacher is buying her whole class presents and I wanted my son to get something for her.

Shes a really great teacher, shes a little younger and she just had a baby. I dont want to spend more than $10. Thats probably about what she spent on her class. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • What should I study in college?

I am finally about to start going to college and I am having trouble deciding what I want to study. My most important factor is job security because I have a family and supporting them is the most important thing in my life. I have a few ideas of what I would like to do but there are pros ad cons to each choice. I have thought about computer science/ programming, but I worry that I won't be good at it. I have no experience with programming and it involves a lot of math, which I am really bad at. My mother wants me to be an accountant but that sounds so boring. I've been told that I could be good at psychology or interior design because I'm logical and organized. I'm just looking for advise as to what would be a good choice for my future. I'm scared that I'm going to make a decision and then not like the outcome.

I'm not looking for rude comments or rude remarks, just advise. Thank you.

  • Any other cajuns claim to be related to Louis Arceneaux?

My last name is Arceneaux and I grew up hearing stories about being related to a local folk hero in Lafayette Louisiana, Louis Arceneaux. I recently did research and what it stated is that a lot of cajuns from that area claim to be related to him in some way. Does anyone know what the story is or has anyone else been told they were related to him as well?

  • Better ideas for potty training 3 year old?

My daughter just turned 3 last week. About 6 months ago I started to introduce the idea of potty training and gradually became more intense with getting her to go potty. Ive tried everything from giving her praise, giving her candy, not buying diapers and im sorry to say even a little yelling (not something I normally do). She wants nothing to do with the potty but I just cannot afford diapers anymore. Is there anything else I could be doing to get her on the potty. Thank you.

  • How do I get my artwork authenticated?

I found a piece of art it a dumpster and when I did my own research I found out the painting could be worth $8500-$10000. Ive called auction houses and they wont follow up on the messages ive left. I just want to know how much it could cost and how to get someone to take me seriously because thats a lot of money to me and could help my family out greatly right now.
