My boyfriend is, sadly, back home in Ireland for a few months, and his sister says he's feeling really, i guess... ME-sick, and he's kinda depressed. So I was gonna be a girly girl for a second and send him a little care package, just to let him know how much i think about him and how badly I miss him. I was gonna send him some homemade cookies and some cnady that he can't get in Ireland.

The only thing is that I've looked around a bit online (UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL) and I can't find shipping rates for small boxes thats less than anywhere from $170 to $80. I really want to do something sweet for him, but I really can't afford that rate. Are there any generic ways to ship a small to medium box that won't break my bank? Maybe use a package of my own?

Any help you can give would be amazing!

Also, I've only looked online; should I maybe call some places to get better information?

I'm getting a tattoo on my lower wrist right under my palm soon, and I'm going with my father cuz we're getting matching tattoos. If I take my hoodie off (I plan on just pulling the sleeve up, but he might ask me to take it off completely) and there's fresh cuts, can the artist refuse to tattoo me for hygienic purposes? I know the first time I tried to donate blood, I had scratches that I said were from my dog, and they turned me away because of hygiene reasons. Can my tattoo artist do this?

I got my nostril pierced in late July/ early August, I don't remember which. But I stopped cleaning it for a while, but for the past 3 months have been cleaning it with sea salt every night. But it still hurts to move and touch, it hurts to flare my nostrils, it even aches just sitting there. It's been 6 months; I KNOW it should be healed enough to not hurt anymore, so I know something's wrong.

It was pierced with a ring, and that same ring is still it. Could that have something to do with it? I'm honestly afraid to change the jewelery.

Am I over-cleaning it? It the salt concentration too high? I'm really worried that it's infected, even though I've never had an infected piercing before.

If I go to a different shop (I literally have NO way to get to the original shop; I moved) and tell them about it, would they change it to a stud for free? If not, about what would they charge me for it?

Please, any advice you can offer. I've already had that pimple thing that almost every nose piercing gets when it's healing, and that didn't do anything.

If it is infected, will the professional piercer be able to tell? And would I need antibiotics from a hospital if it is infected?

Please help. I'm honestly scared to death.

When I turned it back one, the screen resolution was really messed up. After I fixed the resolution, it worked fine until I went to move it again, and it black screened again.

Now, every so often, the screen'll go black, and I'll have to unplug it and turn it back on. The resolution doesn't mess up anymore, but it's still really annoying, especially when I'm writing something, and I can't save it.

Sometimes, if I just keep the screen closed for about an hour, it'll turn back on by itself, but no matter if it's turned on manually or automatically, a Windows message saying 'Your system had recovered from a serious error' message shows up.

Is this a virus? Is something wrong with my backlight? Or is it just fried?

And also, it you know how I can make sure the screen doesn't turn off, that'd be great. Because it's kinda like a crap shoot at the moment, and I don't wanna keep writing my story if I'm gonna lose it.

I have an IBM thinkpad, and recently, every time I close it, it won't turn back on. When I open the screen, even if I press buttons or move the mousepad, the screen stays black, like it doesn't know it's open. Even holding the power button doesn't work. So If I close it, I have to unplug it and wait an hour so it'll die, THEN turn it back on.

Is there anything I can do to fix it, besides hooking it up to an external monitor and leaving it open all the time?

Any advice you have will help! Thank you!

I have snakebites (one piercing on either side of my lower lip) and I got them done about 9 months apart.

They were fine for a while, until I noticed that my left one (the second one I got pierced) is about a millimeter higher. When I got it pierced, the piercer (who was an AMAZING piercer and was WAY more helpful than the first piercer) pierced it at the same height as my other side, and I'm guessing that I just f*cked with it too much, and it migrated up.

This may not seem like such a big deal, but I have really bad OCD, and when I have rings in (which are my lip jewelry of choice) the left ring always falls over, while the right one stays upright. Plus you can visibly see the difference in the height.

As you can see, one ring is upright while the other is falling over.

So I had a question. If I take out the higher ring and let the hole close up, and get it repierced lower, do you think it'll work and they'll be even?

If this will work, PLEASE tell me, because I really can't stand the height difference. I'd take the left one out altogether, but then I feel like my face would be unbalanced, what with having 2 piercings on one side.

So I got my nose pierced about 2 and a half to 3 months ago. I have snakebites, so I'm no stranger to piercings. Like with my snakebites, I cleaned it with salt once a day, and soap once a day like I was told for about 2 weeks, and it was fine. So naturally, like an idiot, I stopped cleaning it with salt completely, only rinsing it with soap when I showered. So after a while, a small, painful bump formed in my nostril and it hurt to touch the ring at all. Even when my shirt brushed it while I was getting dressed almost dropped me to my knees in pain. Then I started cleaning it with sea salt for a bit, and the pain went away. So I stopped cleaning it, and the pain came back and so on and so forth. But now, it hurts WAY more than it ever did before. Even flaring my nostrils makes my eyes water.

I just today started cleaning it again, so I'm hoping that will help. But its been almost 3 months. Shouldn't it be healed enough to not hurt at all by now? Or do you think there's something wrong with it, and that's why it still hurts?

Also, as a side note, the ring I'm currently wearing in it is the same one the man pierced it with. I haven't gotten around to changing it yet. Could this be part of why it's still sore?

And don't chastise me for not keeping on the cleaning schedule, because 1) I didn't clean either of my snakebites like I should have, and both of them healed in a snap, and because 2) I already know I'm an idiot for not doing what the piercer recommended. The fact's already been established.

For all you Killjoys, I have a question. How did you figure out your Killjoy Name, what is it, and does it mean something? 

For example, my Killjoy name is Radio Siren. Basically, to find it, I listened to the whole Danger Days album, and wrote down all the words I found interesting (Vampire, Motivation, Static, Tabloid, etc.). From that list of words, I put together two or three words in combinations I liked, and from there, I got Radio Siren. 

I've been singing all my life, so my Killjoy name reflects that. Radio is obvious, and Siren as in the Sirens from Greek mythology, the women who lured sailors to their deaths with their beautiful siren song. 

So, how did you get your Killjoy name?

Ok, so I need Frank's quote, "This is a band that will save your life" but I don't know where to find it. I need the exact words. I found an interview where he says "We're a band to save your life" but when I google that, all the results say "This is a band that will...". So if you can tell me where exactly to find this quote, preferably a video of the interview, I will love oh forever!

I just recently (as in the last 3-4 days) started playing around on my bass. I got it from a pawn shop, and the strings are a little old and rusty. I've just been playing the riff from Smoke On The Water and the bass line to Am I Evil up and down the neck to work on my fingering. My plucking fingers have been sore for 2 days, and I just last night got a small blister on my middle finger.

First of all, is it just because I'm new, or could it be because the strings are old? I'm putting on new strings tomorrow. I know all guitarists get blisters that eventually turn to callous. Is it just happening fast cause of the strings?

And should I give it a rest for a day or two and let it heal, or just keep playing? If I keep playing, should I pop it or leave it? (NOTE: I've never gotten an infection before frok popping a blister.)

so theres this Polish movie i saw something about on tumblr called sala samobójców, or Suicide room. it looked really good, and everyone said it was awesome. so ive been hunting for this movie for forever! i cant find any online copies, and all the ones i download have no sound and have weird subititle files that my computer doesnt recognize! i want to see this movie SO bad! if you could tell me where to find a copy of this movie (Preferably) dubbed in English, or with audio and english subtitles, i would be forever indebted to you!

I got my right side done in January, and I;m going to get my left side done in a few hours, and I was just wondering, did you get them at the same time, or did you get one and then the other? I wanted them both at once, but my sister told me that if I only got one side done, she would pay for the other side. (Even though HERE WE ARE! 5 months AFTER she told me shed buy me my other piercing, and im paying for it myself!)

I like my music LOUD, and EVERY PAIR OF HEADPHONES I BUY BLOW! It's one side at first, but that ANNOYS THE F*CK OUT OF ME! I need a new pair, one that's durable and won't blow as fast. Cuz seriously, I go through a pair every like, 3 or 4 weeks. Are there any brands that won't blow? Price isn't that important, but not like, $70 headphones. And they have to be in-ear earbuds. Not the ones that go over the head; those just look dumb.

And I know they blow due to the volume, so don't say "Try turning the volume down." Cuz I won't. I'd rather spend a hundred bucks a year on new headphones than have my music so low that I can hear what other people in the room are saying.

All I can remember about it is the opening scene. This woman walks into her house, and her son is hanging from a noose, but he isn't dead. She walks past and says, "Hi, (Insert Name Here)". the kid keeps either attempting suicide or faking it. we think the kids name is Clyde or something? he starts sleeping with an older woman or something? I work at Stevi B's, which, if you didn't know, is a pizza buffet. I am a greeter, so I serve special pizzas directly to the customers, and while on the line, I'm always moving the pizzas to the right spot. Well, I have dermatillomania, which is Compulsive Skin Picking (CSP). It's like, if my hands aren't doing something, I just start subconsciously scratching at my hands. It leaves scabs and welts, and i usually hide them with gloves, but I can't at work. So when a coworker or customer asks about them, i say i have 2 great danes who play rough. But since my scabs, scars and welts are so visible, can i get fired for them?
