I've had a clogged duct for going on 4 days now. I called my doctor and the nurse said to put heat on it and massage it, so I've been doing that but it hasn't gone away yet. How long does it usually take to go away, and is there anything my doctor could do for me or should I just keep doing the heat/massage thing?

I'm just wondering what others would do. My baby is 8 weeks old and I've been solely breastfeeding since she was born. I've had sore nipples but I'm okay with that, but now I've developed mastitis and also have a clogged duct. I am still breastfeeding but it hurts so bad and I'm afraid to get mastitis again! I'm just wondering if others would plan to switch to formula at this point or just suck it up and keep breastfeeding. I plan to keep breastfeeding, but I"m just curious to see what others think...

She's 7 weeks old and I've been noticing the past couple days that her head is always slumped over to the right. I used to notice that once in a while when she was sitting in her swing or in her bouncy chair but now even when she's lying flat or sitting upright, she still has it tilted over to the right. I can move it up to a normal position but then when I let go, she just tilts it back over to the right again. She has an appt in 2 weeks, should I just mention it to MD then or should I bring her in sooner? I called and talked to nurse and nurse said it was up to me, she didn't sound like it was anything that I should rush her in for, but I'm concerned something is wrong with her neck!

Do most people like Roast Beef? Or would salami be a better choice? Or something else I'm not thinking of?

I originally RSVP'd yes to my friends wedding but she said she would completely understand if I decided I couldn't make it because I just had a baby. I'm nervous to leave my baby, but my brother said he would baby sit and he has 2 kids of his own so I know he can handle it. But also, I had a c-section and my incision has split open a little bit and is oozing and my doctor told me to take it easy and just rest and relax as much as possible, so I'm not sure if going to a wedding would be too much right now. If I go, I would only go for a little while, but the wedding is an hour away, so I have an automatic 2 hours driving there and back. What would you do, go to the wedding or no?

I am 9 months pregnant. I hurt my ankle yesterday. I don't think it's broken, maybe just sprained. Normally I wouldn't rush to the doctor for this, I would give it a few days to see if it got better on it's own. But I'm going to be induced on Sunday so I will be in the hospital all of next week, so I'm not sure if I should try to get in to my doctor today to look at my ankle, or just wait til the following week after I get out of the hospital with the baby?

I've read that you should bring music to listen to. If I don't bring any, are there usually radios in the room where we could play music if I wanted to?

I'm pregnant with my first child and am reading what to pack for my hospital bag and it says music. I'm just wondering how most women listen to the music, do you bring headphones?

Sister in law: has 3yr old and 1 yr old at home and said she would be willing to watch our newborn baby once i go back to work. we'd love our baby to grow up with her cousins, but it would just be for a couple years at most because sister in law would probably stop if she ends up having a 3rd child or if we end up having a 2nd child, as it would be too much for her. plus she is thinking about going to nursing school once her 3 yr old starts kindergarten.

Family friend: an acquaintance of my mother's runs a daycare out of her home and has for over 20 years. she loves kids and this is her career so we know it would be permanent for years to come, even if we had a second child, etc. but she lives a little bit further away, and isn't family, so we don't know which choice is better???

My husband and I are having a Memorial Day party at our house, and my husband is going to grill up a bunch of chicken wings on the grill, and then I'm planning on making a bunch of side dishes, like baked beans, pasta salad, etc etc. Some of our friends are going to bring a dish to pass as well. Are the wings good enough for the main dish, or do we need more meat?

I'm going to a new hair salon and on their website it says the price for women's haircute is $40 - $55. Does anyone know what the price range could depend on? What would make it $55 rather than $40?

My hubby and I are expecting our first baby and we wanted a baby carrier that can be worn in the front or the back. When I read about Baby Bjorns, it says "front or rear facing" but I'm thinking that means the baby can face inward or outward... are there any that can be worn in the front or back?

I'm going to be meeting my friend's newborn baby tomorrow for the first time, and I planned on bringing a gift over for the baby, but my friend said that a few of our other friends are all coming over at the same time as we are, so now I'm not sure if I should still bring a gift? I don't want to make the other friends feel bad if they didn't buy the baby anything.

I have PCOS and am now pregnant, is it now okay to intake more dairy or is it still a "no-no" since I have PCOS?

I've been reading a lot of studies about how crib bumpers can be dangerous, but I've looked at Babies R Us, Target and Walmart, and can't find any separate blankets - they all seem to come in a set including the crib bumpers.

I have had mild cramping on and off throughout my pregnancy. From what I've read online, it's normal in early pregnancy, but I'm 18 weeks along now, so it's not really "early" anymore. I've mentioned it to my doctor and he doesn't seem concerned, but I'm just wondering if anyone else felt this as late as 18 weeks? It feels similar to menstrual cramps. No bleeding or spotting though.

It's Knorr's Chicken Fried Rice and it says to add 2 cups of water and cook in microwave for 12 minutes. I want to make 2 packages. So I imagine that I would add 4 cups of water instead of 2, but what about the cooking time? Do I double that as well?
