credit card payment and being charged.?
I recently started using online banking with Bank of Montreal since I wouldn't have time to go in and pay off my credit card before my car insurance was taken off. I made my payment on Friday the 20th and yet it still isn't showing on my card today on the 22nd, even though it says I've made the payment on my chequing account It's starting to worry me now because today is when the insurance is removed from my card and the bank is closed on Sundays leaving me no other way to pay my credit card off.
4 AnswersCredit7 years agoSomeone said they'd exploit my computer info?
I was having an argument with someone over the internet (big surprise I know). They edited one of their comments and tried to say that I was making things up.... so I posted a screenshot through imgur.
Anyway, the person is now saying that I left open access points available through the screenshot (the only thing visible really would be the time and the website address) they then proceeded to say they were going to exploit this and followed by posting an address that was no where near where I live (it would take an hour just to fly there).
So, should I be worried at all? Can this person gain access to my accounts or any information? I changed my passwords just to be sure,

2 AnswersCredit8 years agoAccuracy of internet speed tests?
I just finished two separate speed tests on my computer. One from speedtest.net and one from Bell Aliant. Both tests gave a result of my download speed being 2.82mb/s. Now, I wouldn't have any complaints with this, given I'm paying for 7mb/s though I know that just means "up to" and I should never expect the full speed. However, on a good day I'm barely able to break 600kb/s when downloading. Is there any reason this would be happening? I mean like I said I know I should never expect the full speed but to be roughly 1/12th the max speed when it's at its best? I think that's a bit ridiculous.
2 AnswersOther - Internet8 years agoNumbers immediately before and after? Using bases?
As much as I hate asking the internet for this I missed a Math class and have a question to do that I don't understand.
I'm asked to write the number immediately before and after the numbers indicated keeping the numbers in the same base. Do not convert the numbers to base 10.
I think I might have this right myself but I just want to make sure.
Say for example I was given "15 base 10" would the numbers before and after that be 14 and 16?
Also for example if given say "ABC base 16" would the numbers before and after be "ABB base 16" and "ABD base 16"?

1 AnswerHomework Help9 years agoOne long beep and 2 short from desktop?
The other day the power went out. Since it came back on the computer hasn't been able to start up properly. It powers up with the fan running and everything but is quickly followed by one long beep and two short ones. This happened the last time there was a power outage but after a day the computer was fine and working like normal, this time however it's been 2 days and it still won't start.
3 AnswersDesktops9 years agoQuestion about order on Amazon?
So, i just ordered something on Amazon that is due for release on the 25th of this month. Wanting it as soon as I possibly could I decided to pay extra for the express shipping. After I had made the purchase it then tells me on the top of the page that I can expect my order between the 2nd/3rd of October. Is this normal? I mean, does it not take into account the shipping I paid for if the item itself hasn't been shipped yet? Is it that they've received a lot of orders and won't be able to have mine sent out until a later date?(If so they should really have listed that on the site itself before I purchased it) It just seems like a waste to pay extra for 2/3 day shipping when I won't even get it until a week after it's released, thinking about just cancelling the order altogether.
2 AnswersCorporations9 years agoWeights not heavy enough?
I bought a pair of 10lb weights and started out doing 50 reps with each arm and am now up to 100. However, I recently learned that most weight lifters only go for around 10-12 reps with the weights they use so should I be going for much heavier weights, or just keep increasing the reps I do as I go?

1 AnswerVideo & Online Games9 years agoConnecting firbe op internet?
I'm currently looking to get fibre op internet in my home and was checking the bell aliant website and seen a couple of questions that I am not sure about.
Q: Will new wires need to be run into and throughout my home for FibreOP services?
A: To deliver FibreOP services to your home an Ethernet cable and a low voltage power line will be installed from the Network Optical Terminal and connected to the FibreOP equipment inside your home. These new cables will be brought through existing conduit if it is available or directly through the exterior wall and any drilled entry points used for bringing wires through an exterior wall will be properly sealed against weather/water. Our FibreOP Technician will make sure your TV and Internet services are delivered over a quality connection within your home. This could be on the existing wiring in your home today, or if required we will upgrade your home wiring to provide the best possible experience for your FibreOP services. Any existing wiring will be tested and will only be used if the quality meets FibreOP 's superior standards.
Q: Will I need new equipment in my home in order to have FibreOP services?
A: Yes, in order to be able to provide 100% fibre optics and deliver the highest quality of service a new outdoor unit will be secured to the inside of your home which will be connected by new fibre optic cable to the adjacent telephone pole. There will also be a power supply required to deliver power to the equipment and a new FibreOP Wireless Modem installed inside. A nearby AC power outlet will be required near the indoor equipment to provide power to the exterior unit. FibreOP TV requires a HD/SD Digital Receiver to be installed per TV in your household.
Does this mean they will need to do a lot of drilling into my walls in order to hook up the fibre op? Exactly how much work may need to be done, and how much of a hastle will it cause if there is ever a time when I need to get this disconnected?
2 AnswersOther - Internet9 years agoNot getting full internet speed with bell?
I currently am supposed to have a 1.5mb/s plan with Bell aliant. I know it's usual not to get the absolute full speed but it seems to be a rare occasion if my internet speed every goes above 500kb/s with the highest I have ever seen it reach being 800kb/s on one occasion. Is there anyway for me to fix this? I'm not going by a wireless connection either, the modem is connected directly to my PC.
4 AnswersComputer Networking9 years agoTime zones and The Witcher 2 enhanced edition?
I've pre-downloaded the Enhanced Edition patch for The Witcher 2 on PC and was wondering just when I actually get to play it? Since the company that creates The Witcher games is located in Poland and in their time zone it is roughly 2:30 does that mean in 11 and a half hours I should be able to play the game even though it won't be the 17th here at that time?
2 AnswersPC9 years agoIs the Witcher 2 Version 2.0 the "Enhanced Edition"?
I've been waiting to play my copy of The Witcher 2 since I was under the impression that the PC ersion wouldn't be getting updates until the Xbox 360 release (April 17th) as well.

2 AnswersVideo & Online Games9 years agoVideos streaming slow?
Starting about 4 days ago any video I try to stream has been loading slower than usual. I've never had to pause a video and wait for it load before but now it's practically always mandatory. Youtube tends to be the worse with it and constantly changes the rate it loads videos. It's the same for all 3 of the computers in my house and doesn't seem to be based on the web browser either since I've tried multiple ones. Anyone have any ideas?
2 AnswersYouTube9 years agoYoutube randomly changing buffering speed?
Since last night youtube seems to buffer videos at completely random speeds for no reason. It even gets to a point where I can sometimes buffer a 720p/1080p video quicker than a 360p video... Is anyone else having this problem?
I already cleared my history/cache/cookies. I also heard that youtube added something new to their buffering system so maybe that could be it?
1 AnswerYouTube9 years agoWould these drivers interfere with one another?
So i have found that since I first hooked up my new computer sound skips often at random points. I checked to make sure all of my drivers are up to date but I read that sometimes drivers can interfere with one another and since there seem to be two drivers under "Sound, video, and game controllers" I was wondering if this could be the case.
The first driver is "High Definition Audio Device'
The second is "Realtek High Definition Audio"
Also I am using a HDMI cable.
