People talk about how it's one of the goriest anime ever made but I have to call bullocks on such statements.

All but maybe an occasion or 2 the gore and killings towards people ONLY happen OFFSCREEN or OUT OF FRAME. We almost never see any Titan teeth sink into the victims. Eren's mom was bitten on but she was outside of the shot. It may have been obvious but we still didn't actually see it.

Anime like Violence Jack, Gantz, Elfen Lied, Shigurui, Samurai X, and Blood-C actually show people getting decapitated, mutilated, stabbed withou playing tricks with editing or camera angles and quick cuts that obscure the gore.

We see Titans get brutally killed but... they're Titans FGS, are people really going to tell me they feel any horror when they see Titans treated that way as opposed to when the same happens to PEOPLE in other shows? Sorry, but the effect isn't the same at all.

I'm not arguing weather or not AoT is a good or bad anime. It just doesn't deserve to be credited as gory when its gore level is weak.

Wherever I go, no matter what key words I try, I get rsults showing how to delete the game. I just want to delete the banner.

I don't get how the writers, with Toriyama being involved with the movie, could make such an obvious blunder.

There's no way Bulma could be 38 while Gohan is 21 at that point. Moreover, saying that Bulma probably 'lied' is merely speculation and is less plausible considering that one would not be concerned about hiding it in that situation.

And wouldn't Mai be older considering that she appears in GT as an old lady.

Specifically, adults who try to push 'educational' or 'smart' programming onto kids are the dumb ones because if they have any shred of memory from their childhoods, they'd know that most kids do not have the attention span for such shows and forcing them to watch is not going to develop it.

So why try and force them to do something that's asking too much? If a kid would rather watch fun cartoons instead of a documentary on the history channel, by all means, let them! You can't force patience, if anything, it will make them more anxious when they're older.

I was watching Fullmetal Alchemist and I find it is much more....'adult' than live-action fantasy like Harry Potter, no offense to it, but that's how it is. But since it's animated, no one will give it a chance AT ALL despite that fact.

How can the whole 'kids'' argument hold up when the content in it shows something different?

I watched an anime recently called Super Dimension Fortress Macross and it was adapted into a (crappy) American cartoon called Robotech.

Macross had nothing really objectionable. A couple of nude scenes but that's it, could easily be cut out.

But Robotech was sooo poorly acted because there was a thing against characters expressing extreme levels of emotion, unless it was pain and only for comedic effect.

Honestly, how is expressing extreme anger and sadness inappropriate for kids programming?

I get if the anime and manga are drastically different like Rosario + Vampire, or if the title's anime counterpart is incomplete and won't continue like Rurouni Kenshin.

But in cases where one is a 90+% faithful adaptation, why must I own both? I ask because I usually prefer to have the anime version and some people criticize me for that.

FMA Brotherhood = FMA manga, plotwise I got FMAB on BD, I don't need the manga anymore.

When looking at old American cartoons, they didn't seem to have that problem with lines. What were they doing differently in Japan?

They keep releasing anime that last for only one bloody season while the manga keeps going despite the series being successful!

The only thing that went on for a sequel lately was Sword Art Online despite AoT being 10x more popular.

To this day, they are still butt-hurt over the 4Kids dub which ended 10 YEARS AGO!! For God's sake, GET OVER IT!! FUNimation has it now, they fixed everything, so, STFU!!

Please don't ask if I'm of age because a) I am, and b) I'm doing the research before I commit to it because people keep giving contradicting answers and it's not something, even as an adult, I can go to anyone and just ask it.

Every time I go to watch an intense movie, there will be girls (not accompanied by guys, btw) who will come to them and tsk at EVERY scene depicting death and/or destruction. You don't see real guys walking into Twilight and calling out on all its BS.
