  • Sunday London Times Reports...?

This morning's email brought a report from the Sunday London Times saying that Bush had given an "...amber light..." to Israel on an attack aimed at Iran's nuclear facilities. The report defines an "amber light" to mean "...go ahead with your planning. Let us know when you are ready."

Although I am running live breaking news alerts, I have yet to see any American confirmation of the report.

Has anyone seen any American validation of the London Times report?

  • I shall soon be very! very! rich!!!?

My email contains messages from Nigerian banks (which are apparently having trouble managing their money,) an heiress who wants me to have several millions of pounds, I am the winner of two! internet prizes of two million in value. All tolled, I have over five and a half milllion coming soon! Who wants a share!?

My real inquiry is: how does this stuff wind up in my mail box? How do such obvious scams get past the gate level security and spam filters? Do you ever wonder if anyone actually gives up the requested data to these thieving enterprizes?
