I'm attempting to stir some conversation and find out what are the main benefits in the public psyche for a trip to mars.

I have decided myself to make a monthly donation to the mars trip by mars one; but there isn't enough minds on this yet. I'm attempting to bring in a few more on the subject.

Again What are the Benefits of going to mars? There is no right or wrong answer; just your ability to articulate your belief on the benefits.

Okay I'm building a new computer system and I will list parts bellow. But I can't seem to find a Good AMD Processor to match up well with the Board. It would seem that Intel has gained 2 - 3 steps on them... Since I bought my AMD Phenom II X4 940 3.01 I'm typing on right now. That was in 2007, 2008

If you have some advice on a combo for the Motherboard and Processor that would be helpful. Going to Purchase this system on Amazon by Thursday.

Dollar wise for this will be $500 I can squeeze $600 out for the combo but lets see. This system is going for my online Radio use .... ie YouTube video editing and producing my Death By Cold Steel Report.

Okay Folks I always build my own pc's but haven't done it since 2007 the one I'm using now has a

AMD Phenom x4 940 and Asus Mother board; the PC I build before was also a similar setup. I have never used Intel Setups before. Just do to the fact that I could get by fine without the Extra.

I got about $2200 to sink into this project and Everything I have listed in my Amazon cart come to about $1350 so far Excluding the Mother Board and CPU.

This is my plans I want a Board and CPU that will have Room to grow; I technically could use this machine but its setup in my living room and this one im building will go into the bed room...

I got about $600 to spend on Mother Board and CPU. With wiggle room of $100.00...

I want a box that will do the occasional Video game Maybe SWTOR or Maybe WoW and if something like Re population that's coming out soon. I'm a former SWG Player; and Repop is a Sandbox...

I have never over clocked my boxes and don't really see a need to; I do turn up the rendering and performance on games from time to time to get the shadows and stuff.

What would you recommend? Keep in mind I want something to last 4-5 years without thinking about upgrading...

Got a slight problem with a reinstall folks. Need a question answered.

I put the CD in after a freeze screen crash and hit the restart button on the computer. Computer didn't go to the windows cd as my setup isn't setup properly. Its a custom built pc.. I'm on laptop now...

So I tried to enter the bios area and wasn't able to get to setup.

So I hit reset again and was this time able to get setup to start to run; but I hit both DEL and Tab for setup message.

Nothing happened so I hit reset again.

Ive taken out the install cd to get to regular boot up but there is nothing happening. Both my activity lights are sold blue right now; and screen hasn't show anything other then once a blinking _ in the left hand corner.

Ive hit reset a few times still nothing.

Is there something I can do to get it just to kinda reset itself. I don't hear the one beep like I normally do so there's something wrong with the boot I'm thinking now. Might be self inflicted so if you have an idea to clear the last hours bungling let me know.

Okay I have taken an old XP Pro Hard drive and put it inside an enclosure; I got it plug it hooked up to my Windows Vista Premium...

Computer Management See's the Drive

My Computer doesn't see the Drive

Under Computer management it reads (Active Primary Partition) No Drive Letter is assigned... I click on the Blue Line side the only option I get is Delete Volume. The rest are all Gray outs for options.

Click on Disk 1 which is where the drive is; I get Convert to Dynamic, Help, Properties for the selection the rest are Gray outs.

What I want to do is simply get the old data off the old hard drive. Access it to move data ect....

It doesn't show NTFS or anything it shows what I wrote above only... Its a 75GB Seagate hard drive....

Okay I have a Vista 64 Box and 3 Old hard drives laying around for years. Two of the hard drives worked normally before they were retired and they had XP on them.

I would like to get the data off this one hard drive mainly and its still in the old box. Now some times it boots up and works and sometime I doesn't. It gets stuck at the loading screen and I think its the old computer with the problem.

Now when I put it in the new box which has a Raptor Velociy Drive sata. I have to connect the second hard drive on the old IDE drive as slave.

Then change the bios in the computer possibly.

Next its been my experience when doing this on the old box I had to format the drive to access it. This I want to avoid, as I do need the data. I can't help but think that with vista 64 prem on one drive and putting this XP hard drive in that it might cause problems.

I can hook up the drive easily but I not sure on the setup with the new pc. They aren't plug and play and its been a few years since I last did it. Thanks in advance but I need the steps from after instillation of the drive forward.

I can't not believe what I just saw on the internet and want some conformation from the yahoo answers community.

I would think 3^3 would be first 27

then you have Log2 (Y) 27

which gives you a long number. 2^27

5x-20/8 = y and would list it as f^-1 = 5x-20/8

what I not sure is can you reduce the -20 and 8. I know their is some rule with variables like this and some can't be touched. Please list the rule if you know it and answer the question. I will award the points quickly.

x^2 + (b/a)x + = c/a

Then you are suppose to do half of b/a which I have no idea how that works. You see half of b/a is what? I know the book says (b/2a)^2 but how in the world is that possible?

Okay the question was this What is the width of a rectangle whose height is 20 inches and whose diagonal measures 50 inches? Express the answer in simplified radical form. Then find an approximation correct to the nearest tenth of an inch.

w^2 + 20^2 = 50^2

w^2 + 400 = 2500

w^2 = 2100

w = +/-√2100 * The two highest factors for this would be 14*150 I believe?

w = +/-√14*150

w =+/- √14*25*6

w = 5+/-√84

19 * 6 = 114

0.6 * 3 = 0.18

0.18 + 6 = 6.18

Did I do something wrong in this equation? The steps to arrive at the answers are quite different. I was taught to take squares by their highest common factors and work from their. It would appear the book took √2100 to 10*21 and some how just took out the 10 to make 10√21.. It doesn't show the steps it took to get their.
