Should we get a kitten or a puppy?
Right now we have a male chihuahua and we want to get another pet. We can't decide if we want a cat or another dog. Our dog is usually scared of other dogs but he's usually ok after awhile with another small dog, he also doesn't mind cats at all - he never even acts like they exist.
Getting a new cat would be cheaper but we would still have to buy all new supplies for it. However, getting a new puppy would be much more expensive upfront but we already have at least two of all the supplies we would need.
We were looking at getting a Yorkie if we get another dog which might be a better companion for our current dog especially during the day. But a new dog would be much more of a commitment when it comes to training in particular and it's much easier to leave cats alone when we go on trips than the dogs which means we would have to pay for two dogs instead of just one to be taken care of when we go on weekend trips.

I am on the executive board of a large college professional organization. The president of the club always gets on me whenever I don't do something. Yet, there's a girl named Lanee who is the Treasurer of the club who hardly ever shows up to mandatory events and when she is, she is under the influence and late. Theoretically, in our club each time you miss something or come late, you loose points and when you run out, you loose your position. So ideally she would have already lost her position.
So I decided to bring it up in my monthly report. Yet, the president of the club responded saying that Lanee goes through all the proper channels when missing meetings and that she is under extenuating circumstances and that she misses things because she is working because she has financial problems. But have seen her right after meetings numerous times sitting on her couch at home smoking and obviously just finished making dinner. In addition she is spending all her money on marijuana and I see her come home all the time with new clothes so she obviously isn't in that bad of financial trouble.
So I don't know what to do because she is in a very high position and not only hurts the club but also makes things unfair for everyone who does their job. I know it isn't because she is friends with the president because they aren't friends. What do I do?

We have a group of 4 and its on 1920s economy, so we need to find a way to make it more interesting than just a powerpoint and jeopardy game, while being informative. Any advice?
