  • Can I buy a cell phone online instead of the Verizon store?

The phone on Amazon is $50 and it's $100 on the Verizon website. I'm only upgrading a phone to an existing plan and I'm fine with renewing the contract. My question is whether the phone I buy on Amazon Wireless can be set up with Verizon. If it's cheaper why wouldn't everyone buy their phones online instead?

  • Verizon phones without additional monthly costs?

I'm trying to upgrade my husbands phone for xmas, his phone is almost 4 years old and crap. However, now all of the phones are so darn fancy they require a $15 month data package for the internet use and $10 a month for unlimited texting. All he does is text and mine are unlimited so I'm unsure why our family plan would make him pay now.

Are there any phones out there that don't require these extra things? I pay $10 monthly for data package and I'd be willing to pay that.

Any ideas or should I just go waste time listening to the verizon sales guy

  • Buy a used DSLR or new Point and shoot?

I was set on buying a new Nikon Coolpix S8100 because it has some great features for a point and shoot. However, for the picture quality I am trying to achieve, everyone is reccomending getting a DSLR. I only have $300 to spend, so I'm wondering if I should buy a used DSLR? Would I only be able to afford the body though? I'm so confused.

  • What's a better more affordable camera for beginner?

I currently have a small Canon Elph SD1100. It's just OK and I want to get something that takes BETTER pictures. I am not a professional or amateur photographer, I mostly take pictures of my daughter and family for blog and memory purposes only. I am really just unsatisfied with my camera.

I need a recommendation for Nikon or Canon under $300. I'm open to all suggestions, these are the two brands I have read the best things about. Any ideas?

  • Weaning from bottle help?

Trying to wean my 13 month old off the bottle and to milk in a sippy cup. She drinks juice and water from a sippy fine and has since she was 8 months old. When she drinks a sippy with milk she makes a sour face and throws the cup. But she'll take milk from a bottle no problem. She is still getting two bottles, one in the morning after wakeup and one at night before bed.

How do I get her to take milk from the sippy and should I be replacing both bottles with milk from a sippy? If she is refusing the milk in the sippy and I'm not giving her a bottle, how is she going to get her nutrients she needs from the milk?

  • 11 week old waking up every hour?

I know she is not going to sleep through the night for many more months to come. However, she was sleeping 3-4 hour stretches when she would first go down for bed, then up every 2 hours or so to eat. For the last 3-4 weeks she has been up every stinking hour. It's exhausting. She normally cries before falling asleep but I can get her to fall asleep pretty easily with rocking and walking. I'm not having a problem getting her back to bed, it's getting her to sleep longer then 30-45 minutes. I have her awake during the day for 1.5-2 hours then put her down for a nap and she'll nap 30-1 hour.

What am I doing wrong? How can I help her sleep longer? I breastfeed her and recently started giving her a pumped bottle at night so we can measure how much she gets and she'll drink 5-6 oz before bed. I swaddle her and use white noise, I don't feed her every hour at night but I try to get her back to bed first and if she won't sleep, then I feed her.

  • How do I help my English Bulldog relax? ?

I have an amazing 1 year old English Bully He is just so energetic! We walk him at least once a day for 30-45 and try to walk him twice if time allows. However he is only tired for an hour and then he's back to running around like a mad man. We think he doesn't know how to relax. If my husband or I am doing something; he always has to be in the mix. Like he's scared to go to sleep in case he misses something. Is there anything else we can do? Are there any games we can play that will help him relax better?

  • Booking hotel in Venice, Italy through travel website or direct hotel?

I am looking to book a few nights in Venice Italy and I've been doing most of my searches through travel websites like expedia, hotels.com, etc... My question/concern is that I'm liking the prices I see on these websites but when I inquire directly with the hotel, the prices are much more inflated. Is it ok to book through the travel site to take advantage of the lower rate? I am very concerned about having an attached bathroom to our hotel room and I am totally unfamiliar about how to ensure I get a good price but make sure it offers everything we need.

  • Wisdom teeth pulled 6 days ago, How long until I am back to normal?

I want to know when can I drink from a straw, drink soda and coffee, eat normal things including steak. When will my holes close? How long do I have to gargle salt water? My dentist did not give me a time line. I've read answers from 1 day to 6 months and need something truthful. I think I've passed the dry socket phase since I'm day 6 but even that seems to be vague. Does anyone truly know when I'll be able to get back to normal?

  • Stolen Car Recovered, Damaged, What now?

My vehicle was stolen a few days ago and recovered the following day. My husband viewed the vehicle which has some interior damage however we are not sure of the extent of the damage to engine or anything not visible. It will be going to a repair shop through our insurance company to determine the cost of the damage/repair.

    My questions are:

    1) Is my car (if repairable) going to ever be/drive the same?

    2) Will there be any record of the theft on the dmv title?

    3) I am assuming the value of my vehicle drops drastically due to the theft and am I still required to pay the full amount still owed on it if it's now worth less?

    4) Do I have to take the car back?

I am apprehensive about taking a car back that has been stolen because I have read numerous horror stories about what happens to cars and potential for engine damage after it is returned to us. I also do not feel 100% comfortable driving a former stolen vehicle.

Any help will do, Very stressed out.
