How safe is it for Americans in Russia now?
I know that the situation could change easily in a matter of no-time, but my mom is worried and has thoughts of wanting to postpone it.
She is focusing on the situation in Ukraine too much and I really don't want to have to have my Russian friends convince her that its safe to travel there, because I feel that it would overwhelm them to tell her, or keep on telling her.
I have a trip booked with a tourism group and I have been told plenty of times that as long as you are with a tour group you will be fine. The US State Gov site has not sent any indication that its very dangerous to go to Russia all together. The US State Gov sends us typical warnings for Russia, but I'm not sure if that has made my mom any lesser paranoid, especially since these issues have more to do with riots and parades that have the tendency to get out of control.
What should I do?
5 AnswersRussia7 years agoTourism in Russia for Pro-Gay Straight travelers?
I am for gay rights, but I am not homosexual or bisexual in any way. However after hearing about the law against gay and bisexual tourists, I also want to know if it would still be safe for me (I am for gay rights) to go and visit Russia.
Would I be able to do this as long as I don't open my mouth about homosexuality or promote gay rights in any form?
I must really know, because I want to visit Russia with my mother, but I don't know how safe we would be if something were to slip out of a conversation of homosexuality.
3 AnswersRussia8 years agoTo all the Russian women out there!?
Do men from other countries get on your nerves when they want to marry you for your looks?
When they don’t think twice about how different your culture is from their cultures?
When they want you to move where they live and leave your family behind?
When they compare you to Barbie dolls like you are some kind of trophy?
When they can’t tell the difference between a Romanian woman and a Russian woman?
When they don’t bother to learn Russian?
For once I want to hear it from a Russian woman’s perspective and not from a non-Russian man’s!
2 AnswersRussia9 years agoAny spoilers for the fifth season of Hetalia?
I can’t wait until the fifth season! I am so excited that it’s not even funny!
I really want to know if:
-They will show more of Turkey?
-Prussia will confess to Hungary that he might have a little crush on her!
-Show more of China and Russia.
1 AnswerComics & Animation9 years agoI would love an update on the Syrian refuges that are located in Turkey!?
As you all know, Assad decided it would be a smart idea to murder a bunch of his own people when the Arab spring hit Syria. Many of them crossed the border into Turkey and I haven’t heard much of them since!
As any human I am curious to know, since other countries have taken Syrian refugees in.
Are they being well cared for? In other words, no neglecting.
Are they being well fed? Being able to feed them figs, pomegranates and other healthy stuff to keep them from dying.
Are they being able to live in those tents that the Red Crescent has provided for them? Has the Red Crescent even provided tents for them to begin with?
Are they being protected from radical Muslim fanatics?
Are they being protected from Kurdish terrorists that you have to deal with?
Are they being protected period to the end?
I could go on asking questions like this, but I just am worried that since I haven’t heard about them in a long time that they could be dead or were forced back to Syria!

1 AnswerTurkey9 years agoDo I really have to travel to Washington for a Russian visa?
Or is that just for certain visas or sites where you can get visas invites on?
Can’t I just send my visa application to the Russian Embassy in Washington instead of driving all the way there just for a document?
5 AnswersRussia9 years agoPutin and some of the problems that plague Russia!?
I must know if Putin cares about these issues that I am about to list below!
-Has Putin actually ever tried to rid alcohol from Russia? I’m more concerned about how men treat women when they drink that grossly poisonous fluid that makes you act stupid and sometimes violent! Isn’t there a way to crack down on it so that there are less plane crashes, less job losses and of course less family dysfunction?
-Is there also a way to get rid of that Krokodile drug? Does Putin actually care to get rid of that awful drug? I have seen what this drug can do to people that think it’s so cool to get high! It destroys tissue to the point where you can see someone’s bones!!! It’s the most disgusting drug I have ever seen and I want to make sure that most people aren’t turning to it to get high and escape the harshness of reality!
-Does he also have any concerns about wildlife being kept as pets, only to turn on their owners, and/or being released into the wild where they don’t indigenously belong? I mean who wants to go to Russia to see a crocodile at the edge of the Volga canal sunbathing?

Any other natural resource?
4 AnswersRussia9 years agoRussians are you really as poor as everyone in America says you are?
Because I have looked at many areas in Russia…on the internet, they seemed quite advanced for poor people to live in. Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Sochi, St. Petersburg, and some areas in Siberia even look more like they could have many rich people living there. I also looked up future projects concerning buildings that are similar looking to Shanghi.
As for the countryside, the villages and the buildings seem to have had way too much money spent on them to be poor!
I only ask this question because there is too much propaganda going around America that Russia is dirt poor. I don’t think this is the case pretty much anymore.
Yes I am well aware that there are rich and poor people live everywhere in the world, but this is only the question concerning most or a lot of Russia.
17 AnswersRussia9 years agoThoughts on Ashley Herbert?
Personally this is probably just me, but Ashley Herbert gets on my nerves so much!
For instance:
-She was annoying the crap out of me on Brad’s season when she whined a lot and kept getting drunk!
-She whined even more on the Bachelorette.
-It was Bailey this, Bailey that! Bailey was not cute at all! Bailey was not even nice!
-Though I am happy that she is with JP and engaged to him, I really don’t want to waste my time watching their wedding on TV!!!! Did we not get enough of the Royal Wedding or the Kardashian wedding on TV?
My uncle thinks I’m jealous of her, but I’m not! In fact I would never want to be near the likes of her if my life depended on it!
1 AnswerCelebrities9 years agoWhat the heck is the Sarkozy Diaper Line?
Is this for real, or is this a rumor?
How is this supposted to upset the French? I would think they would laugh their butts off at this idea! I mean I find it hilarious if you ask me!
3 AnswersTurkey9 years agoRussians what is a Tartar?
I know almost little to nothing about the Tatars except that they’re a Turkic group.
What do the Tartars think about the Armenian Genocide?
Do they know about it? Do they deny it like the Turks and the Azeris? Do they use Islam as an excuse to get out of responsibility for recognition?
Or do they have more of a Russian influence to their culture or Turkish? Are they mostly Muslim or Christian or Atheist?
4 AnswersRussia9 years agoAre Russian Jews being treated better now-a-days by Russia?
Because a lot of them live here in the USA and inner-mixed with our American and other Jews!!!
Were they considered completely different from other minorities like the Georgians or the Tartars?
Are they staying in America, moving back to Russia or are they moving more to America?
So I would love to know the current situation if that is all right with anyone!
5 AnswersRussia9 years agoRussians what do you think about Roman Abramovich?
Here is what I know about him so far:
-He's a Jew
-He lives in England
-He's a billionare
-He's got a hot girlfriend that does pretty well for herself and was raised in the USA!
Pardon me if this sounds weird, but should I be worried about him? I mean to me he seems like a snake (Я не знакомала её).
I just need to know if my suspicions about this guy are wrong or right!
2 AnswersRussia9 years agoButtercup from the Hunger Games?
Does anyone know if they’ll put Prim’s pet cat Buttercup into the movie? The only reason why I think he should be in the movie is because he’s an obvious comic relief! I’m into the third book already and well I like the ugly cat for some reason!
I would love to know if anyone knows if he’ll be in the film too?
Thanks!
1 AnswerMovies9 years agoJohn McCain I somehow feel…?
Is a total old nutcase?
I mean I can’t help but be bothered by the fact that he said, “May Kim Jong Ill’s soul rest in the hottest corners of hell with Hitler, Stalin, Gaddofi and Pol Pot!”
Yes I understand that he hates them all, but did he really have to say that? Seriously? How is wishing eternal damnation on someone’s soul going to make you a better person? I thought the idea (as an ex Christian myself), was to either forgive those people or pray for their souls, not condemn them!
He didn’t even bother to mention Mao or Taalat Pasha (not that I simply wish them to hell too!)
But what are your feelings of him saying that publically? Was it professional, too unprofessional, or was it just something that you should be doing at home instead of publically?
Just to reassure you people, I would have been mad at anyone else that would say something like this publically!
5 AnswersCurrent Events9 years agoWhy are some Turks (not all of them of course) ostriches....?
Concerning the recognition of the Armenian Genocide?
I have a lot to complain about, because it’s like they have no contempt for human life! What a bunch of jerks!!! All they do is take a straw, stick it in the sand and put their heads in the sand like they’ve got something to hide!
-There is clearly evidence that this was systematic, I am not Armenian, Jewish nor am I a Turk or in any way shape or from a Christian! The definition of genocide is systematic, and the guy who came up with it refereed to the Armenian Genocide as another example besides the Holocaust!
-However they always almost contact me and accuse me of being Armenian like it’s some kind of an insult. I don’t look at it as an insult, I find it more complementary actually.
-They have also threatened my life, are most of them that do this mentally ill or are they just stupid?
-They are using old rumors that were spread about the Armenians that were actually started half of the times by the German government!
Here are the issues with the Turkish Government:
-They are great at manipulating the US government, and when the US government tries to help the Armenians out, the Turks always threatened to hurt them, blackmail them or bribe them to stay quiet! It’s illegal!
-You allow them to illegally take over Northern Cyprus in 1974, kick the Armenians out of their lands even after a treaty was signed at the League of nations!
-You allow them to screw around with the Iranians, Israelis and the Arabs! All three of these people should have little to no contact with the Turkish Government! Personally I think it would be suicide!
-You allow Erdogan who is clearly the reincarnation of Adolf Hitler to destroy a beautiful piece of art that represented Armenian and Turkish peace, and then some admirer of the artist is mysteriously stabbed for sticking up for the artist!
-Authors (Turkish and Armenian), go to jail for talking about the Armenian Genocide, get murdered by Turkish Fascists, and nobody even sticks up for them in the West?
I don’t want to be allies with a bunch of self-centered crybabies that put their heads in the sand to avoid responsibility! Its going to come back and bite them in the butt!!!
They are getting aggressive with France because France just made it a law to put Armenian Genocide Deniers into jail for denying the genocide! So why can’t those babies just accept the reality instead of the dream!
We need to stop babying them!
