I am a single man and i get nervous around women. This makes me put on a confident fake front as a result of my nerves and expecting a girl wont like the real me. This front comes off a bit creepy i think as girls get a bit turned off soon after meeting me.
How do i just settle down and act myself around women? I would love a relationship.
Im 6ft 5, athletic, blue eyes, have a nice smile, but my lack of confidence and nerves hold me back and i am so nervous i rely on drink to socialise. I almost feel ashamed of liking women and wanting to chat to them and go out with them (what the hell lol)

I am 26 and male. I have always been short tempered and if guys used to banter with me i used to take it the wrong way and get offended and angry and upset.
How do i resolve my anger issues? Im not even quite sure where they came from but im sure a lot of it is from my parents and upbringing.
What are the best things to do and the best kind of help to get to help me.
I just want to be able to socialise with people without the fear of getting offended, snapping, and alienating myself like I have done in the past.
My social life is very poor and i really crave a good social life and relationships, but im scared i that i will get angry and people will label me as an asshole and i will always be avoided.
PLease help, i am having a really hard time with this. I have a really hard time even looking people in the eye and holding an every day conversation.
For example, when i am busy at work i am ok, but when the work slows down and i have chances to speak with the others, i feel the anxiety rising

I work out at home with weights and can build up my chest and back fine. But for legs, i cant squat because i dont have a squat rack.
What kind of exercises should i do so my legs keep up with my upper body and i dont become a big upper bodied, sparrow legged tool ;)

Im thinking of revisiting some beaches i used to go to as a kid on familiy holidays. I want to spend as little as possible by sleeping in my car. Is this legal? I was thinking of staying in the beach car parks or any secluded spot i could find.

I haven't done drugs for months and on Saturday I did A LOT of cocaine with some mates.
I feel tired and uncommunicative. I feel quite emotionless and hopeless.
When will these feelings pass?
What can I do to help get myself back to a normal state? I am already making only healthy meals, drinking lots of water. I am thinking of forcing myself to do a good workout everyday for the next 4 days. And i'm using the old Brain training game on the Nintendo DS

I sometimes sit and try to imagine what came before the universe. They say out of nothing atoms appeared and collided together, creating a big bang and creating the universe.
Good guess I suppose. But the possibility of anything popping into existence in what we call "nothing" baffles me so much it amazes me.
I'm amazed that this universe exists. I don't know why I bother thinking about it, but it baffles me so much.
Like the saying goes, life is a miracle and a mystery.
It such a beautiful world, then humans go and kill each other and bring the mood down >:(

2 AnswersOther - General Health Care8 years agoHow do you gain muscle? Anyone can do the weight movements but what does it take to cause hypertrophy?
What I mean is that anyone can pick up a bar with a weight they can lift and do a few reps, but some people make no progress.
If they eat right and make little or no progress, is one reason because they don't push themselves enough? By that I mean doing not enough reps - i.e. doing 8 reps when they could do 12 with maximum effort.
Would this make a big difference?

I work but the work is slow and sometimes I have nothing to do all day, I just sit in an office all day on my own waiting for work to come in.
I have een a heavy drinker for the last ten years which I am working on reducing a lot at the moment. Alcohol and a lack of inspiration has killed my motivation to go and find any other work and be of value to someone.
I feel like even if I do get another job I will be so lazy that I will get fired. Its like I cant get past a mental block and just go for another job.
Please help, I need motivation and a kick up the ****!!

I am having trouble keeping up my motivation to go to the gym and work out.
I am 26 and play golf (I carry the bag) usually 2-3 times a week. I try to keep to a 3 day split weight training gym programme but only manage 1-2 days per week. I like a drink and probably drink too much (infact I know I do, I recorded my alcohol intake for 7 days and it was 50 units, way above the healthy unit limit)
What is the minimum amount of exercise I should do additional to the golf and 1-2 gym sessions a week to stay healthy and slow down ageing?
