I am in year 10, and my school has ordered some HP pro books for us Grade 10s - 12s. What sucks is that since the beginning of this year, i have been wanting an MBP very badly. After getting good grades all year, i am finally allowed to get one, but I don't think i should. I want the macbook for video editting and maybe some sound editting, however i am not too sure, i think i should just wait until UNIVERSITY/ Whatever i am going to do later on.... :( I don't know what to do. It's just that i have really wanted one, and need it to last at least 4 years. Is the MBP capable of that? Should i just save my parents the money and not get it, even though i have been waiting since February? I have no idea. And also should I just get a normal PC instead, or live without a laptop. I don't want to waste money, and i also want to know if the MBP's are a waste. :'(

Spending money on smoking ads is a necessity, especially in today’s society where cigarettes are sold regularly to a variety of audiences, whether it is teenagers purchasing ciggies illegally to impress their mates, or adults who cannot seem to grow out of their intensifying nicotine addiction.

It is the responsibility of the government to implement advertising strategies to further decrease the chances of people falling into the hands of cigarette addiction, and then suffering its malicious consequences. Advertising techniques have been proven by psychologists to affect various parts of the mind, thus changing the viewer’s perspective on the article being advertised. Spending money on anti smoking campaigns is not, and I repeat, is NOT a waste of money. This statement is totally irrefutable, and in just a few short moments I will tell you why.

First of all, as my peers have already pointed out, smoking ads display graphic images which have the potential to build a sense of disgust in viewers towards smoking, increasing their chances of avoiding the drug, or quitting it all together. Ads as such only aspire to benefit society, create awareness, and drive the audience to their resolve.

long story short.

they do not trust me at all. i do not know why. ive never been out with my friends, and im never allowed out. i always feel left out at school cos of that..

their so overprotective, and were always getting into fights, and its really affecting me emotionally. im fed up with them not trusting me and treating me like a 4 year old. Im in Grade 10, approaching the year 11 course and things are getting stressful, and im still expected to do housework. dont get my wron, ill help my mum, but im not in grade 7 anymore where i had hours and hours to give away.. im really behind on school work and its going to get the better of me soon. they just dont understand me, and i dont think they will -_-

how can i confront them about this, its been going on for almost the whole year now, and its starting to affect me.
