Birthday party in sloped backyard?
So I am looking forward to my daughter's first birthday. I had everything planned until I actually walked around my backyard (we just moved in) and I realized that it is significantly sloped. So now I'm bummed because I'm not sure if the tables and chairs would be okay and more importantly if the guests would be okay. Does anyone know of a solution? Thank you in advance!
1 AnswerParenting6 years agoHe wont stop texting her...?
My husband and I have been married for 3 years now and there have been multiple times where I find him deleting text messages. It's always with the same girl. He says she's just a friend even though she has had feelings for him before. Recently I found out he downloaded an app that will let him text her without using his phone app. I am so angry and I feel so disrespected. What do I do? I've asked him so many times to stop texting her or to at least stop hiding things. What do I do?
9 AnswersMarriage & Divorce6 years agoIs pursuing a Master's worth owing more money...?
I just graduated with a Bachelor's in Psychology. I know that I cannot do much with this degree and I had originally planned on pursuing a graduate level degree until I saw how much I owe. I am at around $50,000 in debt and I don't think I can bear to see that amount increase. Is it worth going for a master's?
6 AnswersFinancial Aid7 years agoForward mail OR change of address?
My husband is deployed and I will be living with my mother for 4 months. We are still renting our home it's just going to be empty for a while. Should I have my mail forwarded at $17 per week ($204 just for my mail) or just have my address changed? It seems ridiculous that it is $204 just for mail, but I just want to make sure that changing my address isn't going to cause more problems in the future...what would you do?
1 AnswerAbuse and Spam7 years agoShould I forward my mail OR change address?
My husband is deployed so I am living with my mother for the next 3-4 months. It is a whopping $17 per week to forward my mail which seems ridiculous. 12 weeks at that rate equals to $204 FOR MAIL. Anyway, should I just change my address and then change it again later or will that just cause more problems?
2 AnswersPassword and Sign In7 years agoMoving home while husband is deployed?
I'm just going to give you guys the details. So my husband is leaving for Afghanistan in 3 months. I am 5 months pregnant. We don't have a washer & dryer meaning I would have to do laundry at a laundromat (which is what we've done but I've had my husband there to help me). Main thing, I would be completely alone. Now I don't necessarily have a problem being on my own but he wants for one of my family members to come stay with me while he's gone which, to me, is asking a bit too much from someone. Another thing is that he's in the Special Forces so there's no guarantee he'll be able to make it back for the birth mean while all of our family will have to travel from Texas to Tennessee for the birth (yea we're that kind of family). I'm just wanting opinions as far as what would be easier. Is it worth going back home? Should I just stay put? It's bad enough this is my first deployment AND my first pregnancy... :'(

3 AnswersPregnancy8 years agoSodium Lauryl Sulfate: Is it really bad?
My hair has been thinning for quite some time now and it isn't as strong as it used to be. I'm only 22 my hair falls out like crazy! So I switched to sulfate-free shampoo but then noticed that because there's no lather and I want to really wash my hair well, trying to get the shampoo all over my scalp tends to cause breakage. So I'm confused. Can sulfate-free shampoo be bad for weak hair? Is sodium lauryl sulfate REALLY that bad? I had used shampoos with sulfates my whole life and then after years of expensive sulfate-free shampoo, my hair is thinning? Some articles say it's really bad and others say that it's just a scam to get you to buy more expensive shampoos. What do y'all think? Does anyone know the truth?

1 AnswerPsychology8 years agoBrown spots in back of neck...?
I'm 22 and my husband has been noticing brown spots appearing at the back of my neck. They aren't raised and they don't itch they're just there. My husband noticed that another spot appeared recently because it wasn't there before. What could this be?

3 AnswersSkin Conditions8 years agoHair care advice .... ?
Ok so I have fairly long hair (reaching the small of my back) and I've been going the extra mile for caring for it. I bought two satin pillow cases, gentle shampoo, and I don't use any heating tools on it either. One thing I can't figure out is how to keep it away from my face at night reason being that I am prone to acne. I've tried head bands (cause me headaches) and french braids (noticed breakage). Can I use clips or are those too damaging? If not, which clips do I use? Do you have any other suggestions on how I can keep my hair away from my face while I sleep?
2 AnswersHair8 years agoHow young is too young to have a baby?
My husband and I have been together for four years and married for 1 1/2 years. I'm 22 and he's 23. We both really want to have a baby and I've learned that it's going to be quite hard to concieve due to my being diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). We had been trying for about two years with no luck. Anyway, I've been reading articles about ages when women get pregnant and have found mixed opinions and I just wanted to ask everyone here for your opinions? I feel it is best to mention that I have a BS in Behavioral Psychology and my husband is a sergeant in the U.S. Army. With this in mind, what is your opinion regarding whether or not 22 and 23 is too young to be parents....?
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby8 years agoStayOn Satin Anti-Breakage hair bonnet?
Hey y'all! Well, I recently purchased the StayOn Satin anti-breakage bonnet with the built in conditioner and I was wondering if anyone here has tried it. I'm hispanic with fairly long, wavy hair so I bought this in hopes to prevent further breakage. I've only tried it once (last night) and I noticed that my hair really stuck to the bonnet so i was wondering if I should turn it inside out so that the smooth side is against my hair and the not so "soft" side is on the outside. Would that work? Also, should I have my hair in a certain way like in a braid or a bun or just loose? ... Any help or opinions on the product is very much appreciated :D

3 AnswersPregnancy8 years agoIf the flight is cancelled, will I be ok if I forgot to buy travel insurance?
Ok so I totally forgot to buy travel insurance and I can't anymore. I was just wondering if I'll still be able to get to my destination if the flight is canceled or rescheduled. I will definitely be there on time for the flight and all that but I just want to know if I'll be ok if a situation occurs that is out of my hands... thanks.
3 AnswersAir Travel8 years agoSo what is your position on clothing as a christmas gift?...?
So my husband and I got into a discussion with some friends. The topic was clothing as a christmas gift for an adult. Now, my husband and I agree that clothing is always a good gift....for children or others who may not be able to purchase new clothes. However, we don't agree that clothing should be given as a gift to adults. For example, I wouldn't buy my mother-in-law jeans as a gift. If anything, I would give her a gift card and accompany her to the mall IF she wants. We figure that buying an adult clothes, especially someone you've only known for a few years, is a bad idea because it raises too many questions like:
~What if it doesn't fit?
~What if they don't like the style?
~What if it just makes them uncomfortable?
All I'm saying is that a gift card is a better alternative. What do ya'll think?
8 AnswersChristmas8 years agoHome theater system for christmas?
This is my first time looking to purchase a home theater system. I don't want to spend too much money of course (it's a gift for my husband and we're on a budget but I know he'd like it) and i don't know if I should just get a soundbar or a system complete with small speakers we can mount on all four corners of the our living room. I'm not sure how powerful either of those options are or how much sound they'll add. We have a small house where the living room and dinig area share the same room. These are my options:
--soundbar

OR
--Home Theater System
3 AnswersHome Theater8 years agoBathroom walls "sweating" after a shower?
My husband and I are renting our home and I am having to wash my bathroom walls almost everday because of the water stains that remain after we shower. I've heard people call it "sweating" but I don't know what it's called. To me it's just ugly. When I do remove the stains, I use dishwashing soap with water and a soft sponge and start from the bottom and work my way up the wall (that's what I was told to do). What can I do to keep this from happening? I'd really appreciate any advice...
