  • can green cheeked conures successfully breed with cherry head conures?

or do they need to be the exact same breed conure?

  • is it ridiculous to stud out a male green cheeked conure?

Where I live, these birds are pretty hard to come by and they're so gorgeous. My male is about 1 year and I'm wondering if it's difficult to stud him to other females of age that he doesn't know. I know it can take some bonding time for birds before performing anything. I'm also unaware of whether or not it's a bit silly to stud out a bird like a dog?

  • foam from a puppy's nose?

we have a 7 week old german shepherd/bullmastiff puppy. And believe me. it was best to bring him home when we did, never had a bath, raised in a garage and dehydrated, suppose you could say if he stayed with the breeders longer he would've gotten sick. Yesterday after we brought him home I gave him a bath but no shampoo in the water till we rinsed him off. He drank water from the tub before I even used the shampoo. Then when we took him outside he had foam coming from his nose. None today and we're taking him into the vet Monday, should I be concerned if it was only that one time? He seems healthy otherwise.

  • should I have another ultrasound?

I had my second one at 20 weeks where I found out I am having our third boy. Should I have one more before basing my decision on things to buy to be more sure that that's what it is?

  • I live in canada bc, how much does a dog cesarean cost?

I'm simply just having a debate with my husband. We're talking about pugs, the ones that have common complications delivering vaginally. I know costs vary on the problem occuring, so if it came down to a pug needing a cesarean, how much would it approx. cost? We don't own a pug btw.

  • what are the odds a radiologist can mistake a girl for a boy in an ultrasound?

This would be my third boy, first time finding out before delivery. I had the ultrasound last week at 20 weeks along. I'm a little worried and still hesitant to buy boy things and probably won't till after he's born. But I mean, the odds of being wrong must be a bit lower than the odds of being wrong at saying it's a girl. The mistake there at least is not seeing the penis when it was there the whole time, it must be apparant when you see a little penis that it's a boy. Too much of a coincidence that something else ended up in the right spot in the right shape that a penis should be? Yet I've heard of a person or two that I knew who had girls when they were told it's a boy, how? Is there anyone else that's had that issue? Silly me, going on about this, this is why you wait I suppose lol.

  • if someone's unhappy in their marriage, why ask complete strangers what to do?

It's not like strangers are really looking out for your best interest, nor do they even know both sides of the story, so why spend so much time agonizing about it on here?

  • why do guys think sex stops after marriage?

I've heard many say that. I'm married to a wonderful man and glad to say it doesn't, at least if you're still interested in your partner. They've never even been married, how do they know?

  • having our third boy, will I go crazy?

Yes we did find out the sex is indeed another boy. This will leave me with three boys (4 counting my husband), male bird, male cat and male dog. There's officially no feminism in this house, will I go crazy or what? lol. Oh and we're not having any more children.

  • if a wife or husband cheats then were they meant to be a couple?

As a married woman myself, I could never understand why one would take someone back if their spouse cheated. Isn't that a way of condoning what they did, only encouraging them to be more careful as to not get caught next time? If someone truly loved you and only wanted to spend their whole lives with you then why would he/she also have a desire to screw someone else behind their "loved" ones back. I could never see another man as sexually attractive, I may see a guy as handsome in the same form as I see a girl as pretty, but the mere thought of sleeping with someone who means nothing to me or shares no connection such as I do with my hubby is appalling. Plus, true love would never hurt someone the worst way possible...right?

It's called GenderMaker , is it for real? It's tested by urine. Did it actually work for anyone who used it?

  • my husband can tell it's a boy in the ultrasound?

How easy is it? It was facing away from me so I couldn't really see it when the sonographer took the measurements. We're finding out the sex whenever our doctor gets the results from the radiologist. This my third (and last) pregnancy and my husband was sure he saw a wee wee last time and even though we never asked it was a boy. We have two boys so far, so what are the odds that he can easily see a penis a second time when untrained? It's not like the lady pointed it out to him. He did tell me he was sure he saw a penis again. I guess we'll find out in a few days, but I'm wondering what do you think? Was it easy for you tell before anyone told you what it was?

  • why so much compassion for dogs, so little for children?

Everywhere I turn there's ads and people speaking against cruel animal treatments and how often they go to shelters. I love that people speak for them as they do not have a voice. However, neither do children. They too go to foster homes, unfit homes and are often mistreated. Yet there's probably about a 1/3 of the number that speaks for dogs speaking for children. Do some ppl really think that a dog is more important or has more meaning than a child. Should we really waste so much time on judging ppl for what is really a little issue compared to the big picture? Why do ppl in this category judge so harshly on ppl that don't deserve it, as if they mean less than a dog?

  • does this make me a bad person?

We have a little 2 year old miniature dachshund and recenlty we've have not had the time she needs to spend with her. I have two little boys and another child on the way, I'm in school part time while my husband works. I'm sure if the kids were older she'd have more attention. But right now any attention our pets get rely on me. I've put her up for adoption and am considering getting her fixed first and adopting her for $500 and donating some to the spca. I feel it's selfish to keep her not to mention her type of breed does not match the personality of our family right now. I'd say we're probably bigger dog people but this breed is stubborn and requires a lot of time. She is deliberately disobedient, messes in the house, ignores my commands, has attacked our rabbit and guinea pig numerous times by breaking into the cage and tearing out all their fur. I know partly this is an act of her not getting enough attention and also because of her breed. Am I such a bad person to be adopting her to a new home that's right for her? I've had like two people respond telling me to be ashamed of myself, which doesn't help of course. I'm not giving her up cause we're sick of her, I'm giving her up because it seems unfair to keep her.

  • Please help with any suggestions?

Lately I feel as if I've been failing as a mother and wife. I'm pregnant with our third child at 19 weeks and often feel frusterated and impatient. The hard part is I feel like I'm taking a lot of it out on my kids and husband and for some reason it feels like so much a struggle to be the good mother and wife I'm striving to be. I want to be more of a motherly person, more kind and soft yet correct on my form of discipline. Advice like "oh it helps when you just accept things the way they are, it'll be less stressful" does not help. How can I become a better person for my family when I seem to fail at every corner?

  • a good way to control your anger in stressful situations at home?

I'm pregnant with our third child (second trimester) so of course little things may stress me out easier than it should. I hate feeling frustrated, exhausted and low energy when I have a 4 yr old and one turning a year old in a few days, they need me to keep up with them more than I have. My husband works 3-4 night shifts a week and sleeps till 3:00, he's usually really great at helping when I need it but I still need a way to control my stress level and frustration and use more of my time being positive around my children when he's asleep. Stress is higher cause we also just bought a house and moving in in a couple days, and preparing for multiple things this month, I've also just started school with 3 night courses, but I actually like that, it's the first time in 4 years I've done something outside the home. I'd love a way to help relieve stress when I'm on my own with my kids that may have worked wonders for you. My husband and I are also attending a parenting class cause our 4 year old acts out quite a bit and we want to learn more proper techniques that best suit our oldest son. So please feel free to share positive advice if you have any, thanks.

  • A good discipline method for my miniature dachshund who eats cat food?

She has a litter of 7 pups (lots I know) nearly 7 weeks old and she's already weaned them and I've put them on "Blue" food twice a day, she also gets good portions of the same brand. I'm aware of their stubbornness, but honestly there is literally nothing that will prevent her from sneaking cat food. I usually put it on another side of a gate but it has to be in an area where my one year old isn't going to get at it either, and the cat I have is actually 4 months old and will not jump up anywhere that high out of my youngest son's reach. Anyone have experience with an extremely stubborn dog who refuses to stop sneaking cat food? She knows she's wrong, soon as she knows I've caught her she runs out the door, funny thing is her food dish will also be full. It's quite deliberate, no spanking will not work and since she's small it's not like I can give her much more than a pat anyway. I don't know, maybe my cat will have to suck it up and just get used to eating off the dryer. Such a petty question.

  • how to tell if a miniature dachshund is wire hair or long hair?

I have a litter of miniature dachshunds, however the father is smooth and so is the mother and I've only raised smooth haired. However, the stud had a parent with wire hair and has had a litter where one puppy came out wire hair, and another puppy had long hair but only in the ears. I have a little dachshund who appears different with longer hair but her ears aren't as fluffy and her fur isn't as smooth. It's still straight but looks pretty scruffy in the face. I quite adore her really. But it would help knowing what kind of fur she had.

  • what age should small puppies understand how to drink formula from a dish?

We have 7 3 week old miniature dachshunds and they've begun walking and playing. I haven't really tried it yet but I'm wondering with other breeders out there when did your litter of pups understand how to drink formula from a dish on their own. It would just be so much easier on the poor mom as they're growing incredibly fast. I'm not planning on adding rice cereal to the formula till about 4 weeks, then at about 5-6 weeks I'll be putting them on soft food mixed with softened kibble.
