  • Dreaming of Sleeping?

Okay, this will sound weird, so I'll give a brief history of my sleep epidemic.

Growing up at home, I slept well. Usually went to bed early though, 9-10ish, waking up in time for school, or a little bit later on the weekends/summer. Occaisionally had problems falling asleep, usually help when I read in bed.

Got away from home, joined the military. Slept awesome in boot camp. I would fall asleep the instant I hit the bed, and wake up mere seconds before reveille, my body was working like clockwork. About 9 months later, I had an occurance of sleeping 16 hours straight. Not waking the entire time. That went off and on for a few years. Got in the way of work and social life. A friend suggest it might be that I may have hyperthyroidism (I'm fairly thin, hard to put on weight, hands shake a little, memory problems at times). Went to medical, they didn't want to check my blood, they wanted to differ me to a phsycologist, which I never did. Mostly because I didn't trust the medical in the military, due to my previous experiences with them.

Now, fast forward today, out of the military, I work strictly nights, 7pm to 7am. Having issues keeping my sleep schedule right. However, now I'm having dreams of which I'm falling asleep, going to bed, etc. Essentially, dreaming of sleeping. Obviously, if I'm dreaming it, it's something in my head. Odd thing is, I don't remember most of my dreams, not sure if I get good REM sleep where I can even dream. The dreams I remember tend to be very peculiar. So, I'm at a loss. I thought it was some physical problem, either hyperthyroidism, or maybe I need to get back into a regular workout schedule in a gym, something. However, the dreams have me worried. Perhaps I'm having the dreams because I'm having physical problems with sleeping. Or, maybe I'm having problems sleeping due to things in my subconcious. I don't know, I'm really at a loss. I currently do not have benefits, and can't sign up via my company until January, so if I go see a doctor, it would have to come out of my pocket.

  • Sony Online Entertainment?

I received an e-mail from Sony_Online_Entertainment@soe.innovyx.net. I went to www.SOE.com, which forces me to go to https://www.soe.com/securityupdate/, and the website has no other content. The email didn't ask for any personal information.

However, the big kicker is, I do not own a PS3, and never have. I never created a PSN account. I don't even own a single Sony product period, so they couldn't get my information off a warranty card. So why did I receive this email to warn me against scams, when Sony shouldn't have my email address in the first place?

  • Herpes and relationship epidemic?

So I contacted herpes (type 2) in April of 2008 (while using a condom no less). I noticed within a week after the intimate affair that I had an outbreak. Immediately got medication for it, lesion went away in a week, took the pills for the full 10 days. I also had myself tested for everything else at the time of my breakout. After that, I haven't had a outbreak, nor have I taken any medication past the initial ten days. So I was lucky that I only had the one outbreak and that I didn't catch anything else. Unlucky I caught it in the first place, even with the condom.

So, that is my herpes history, mainly so I won't be judged so much. Now, moving on. That encounter was my last one, so I've been celibate for 3 years now. I do not want to spread the disease, even though to me, its nothing since I don't have breakouts. I know that I could spread it, even with wearing a condom, and that my partner could have constant breakouts. I want to prevent that, but I rather not be alone for the rest of my life.

So how do I go about being upfront with the disease, without looking like some sex addict that isn't safe? Is there a place to meet others who also have herpes so that I know I won't spread it?

If I meet someone who I really like, but that person didn't have herpes, I would prolong any sexual activity as long as possible until we both were very close and deep into the relationship to ensure I wasn't spreading the virus for a relationship that only lasted 2 months. That being said, how many people would be okay holding off on sex for an extended period of time while in a relationship?

  • Why are there so many angry console fan boys?

To me, the system I buy is a preference. I don't care what you buy, I knew what I was buying when I paid for it. I have enjoyed what I bought, and I don't regret it. Are these little kids having trolling flame wars due to not being happy with their decisions? Are they trying to justify their choice by bashing the other, by making the other choice inferior? What is the point of this stupid war? Wouldn't your time be more worthwhile if you spent it on that gaming system you claim to love so dearly? Seriously, stop trolling here, stop trolling on youtube, pick up your game controller, throw in a game, and enjoy it. I highly doubt you're enjoying your gaming system while you're making crude, unrelated remarks on yahoo answers.

  • Transfer Windows 7 to new hard drive?

So I have Windows 7 Home Upgrade version on an existing hard drive. I just bought a SSD that I would like to run the OS off of. I'm having issues getting the transfer to work. I tried to just do a clean install, but the validation key doesn't work since I'm using an Upgrade version (do not have the original Windows XP OS disc anymore). I tried doing a system backup and restore on the new drive, states its the wrong drive. I tried changing the drive directories so that the SSD was the C: drive, but that didn't work either. Am I forced to use a third party software to transfer the OS, or worse, buy a full version of Windows 7 just to have it on the SSD vs standard hard drive?

  • Body/facial hair baldness/thinning.?

I lost hair on the front of my ankles, and now the hair above my knees, lower thigh is thinning. I also have facial bald patches, so small spots, some strips. I think the ankle hair was due to wearing boots without socks, because that's when the hair loss occured. Has not regrown since it happened 4 years ago. The lower thigh area is probably due to where I occaisionally rest my arms when I sit. As for the facial hair, probably because of poor shaving (dry shaving, going against the growth). Can any one confirm that this apparent permanant hair loss is due to "wear and tear"? Also, is there any way to get the hair to grow back (the ankles look odd when I'm wearing shorts or going to the beach) and I can't grow any facial hair without it looking horrible.
