  • Relaxing Lotion for Skin cancer?

One of my professors is diagnosed with this weird type of skin cancer. She has it, but sort of needs no chemo, she has these small deformities in her skin removed.

Holiday season is coming up and I want to give her something. A lotion for this would be nice, could you guys recommend something ? I mean something that relaxes the patient, but isn't allergic or doesn't hurt her skin.

  • Funding for Graduate School (USA ONLY)!?

I've been accepted to Graduate School, however, am ineligible for an Government Sponsored loans, scholarships basically any kind of funding program. Besides government where else can I get funding? I mean to say, scholarships, loans, whatever.

To give you a rough idea of the cost, I'd need 51,000 or so for one year's worth.

  • building a small electric generator for storm outages?

I live in an area where storms are quite common, in fact the storm season approaches us. We have thunderstorms during which our lights start flickering. I am scared that one day light's would go out and we'd be left in the dark, to be safe, I want to build a small generator electric.

I am not talking about toy generators or stuff like that. I want a small generator, one that I can use to charge cell phone (if dead) or power up the radio. Nothing too big either, mind you, I am not an engineer, I am a biologist, so I don't get all the connection stuff and such.

So please go easy on the engineering lingo.

  • Social Convention for People working outside on a summer day?

    Hello,

I live in USA, it's about 86 outside in the summer today. It's hot and humid. We have a guy who's working outside for us, is it okay if I ask him if he would like some water or lemonade?

It's quite hot, and it seems that this is the least I can do for someone, who's working on my house.

  • Simple Video Editing software?

I am considering posting video lectures and was curious is there a video editing software that you would recommend?

Has to be simple and easy to follow as I am not a techie, also something with a trusted brand name.

The software should be able to work on my PC (not MAC), not take up to much memory, easy to navigate and trusted brand.

I should be able to remove or add snippets of video upon one another, add pictures in the background or simple be able to adjust the volume on the video.

  • Book authored by Dalai Lama?

Back when I was in college, there was a particular text I was quite influenced by, authored by Dalai Lama, it talked about the various circles we form. For instance, the text said our family is in a circle that's distinct compared to the one we put strangers in.

I know it's a long shot, but if any of you know what book or text this is, I'd greatly appreciate it.
