I recently installed microsoft security essential to find a virus. It found a virus but when i click clean it says that the action that i selected could not be completed successfully. what do i need to do to finally delete this virus.

My computer has been acting up lately. every time i go on the internet i go on for 5-10 minutes. Then a new window will randomly open and some ad will pop up. i will close it and it wont pop up for the rest of the time im on. Then another thing will pop up saying windows host has stopped working. I did that sfc/scannow but it still doesnt help. my computer has been on the slow side on everything. I need to know whats going on an a solution for it. it might be a virus but i used adaware and it suppositly cleanned everything

i need some and want to know if they have them
