  • Looking at buying my first bike.?

In buying my first bike I have been doing some shopping around for a while and started talking to dealers about quotes on price and it seems all of them come back with is "Best we can do is MSRP" which at least in dealing with cars is a bunch of bogus. Is this normal with buying bikes and if not how much play should I be looking for the dealer to budge? I'm a little frustrated since most of the dealers that have what I'm looking for are several hours away and I certainly don't want to drive there to haggle and end up walking away because I feel like I'm not getting a fair deal, which I will do even if it ends up flushing a couple hundred dollars in gas money.

  • Why did it take scientists so long to figure this out?

So a while back I stumbled onto this video from the space station concerning particles in space. Apparently scientists were baffled to the idea that particles would stick together in space. Given the theory of gravity one should assume that they would stick together as without a larger body affecting the gravitational interaction and the low friction of space objects should eventually collapse into larger objects. Which is the ultimate basis of the expanding/contracting universe theory. Why would scientists need 30+ years of thinking to come up with this when what was recognized is what should be predicted based on the universal theory of gravity. This was one of the common sense results to me years ago when I first studied gravity in high school physics.

  • Looking for a TV-tuner Card?

I'm utilizing Win Vista-64 ultimate and looking for a Tuner card that will operate and be able to capture quality TV much like a Set top box unit would. I've been looking at different reviews but seems all the reviews are several years old. Most don't mention anything that has HD capabilities. A remote wouldn't be bad but certainly nothing i couldn't live without. Anyone have experience with any of the newer tuner cards. Not interested in getting an AIW card as I already have a nvidia 280 graphics card.
