  • Recived a failure to appear notice even though I did appear in court!?

My boyfriend received a traffic violation. He was scheduled for court back in June. We went to the correct room at the correct time and sat through everyone's cases. We where the only ones left in the room at the end. The judge could find no documentation of his court date in the files or computer system. He checked all other court rooms and times and found nothing. We just found out that he was marked down as failed to appear! We don't know what to do. I already called the court house and police station and got no information. We can't afford to go get an attorney. What do we do??? Location of citation is Sacramento Ca.

  • Complicated Relationship Question?

So I've been with the same man for 5 years. I love him but we have been through hell and back in the last 2 years. I feel him being somewhat resentful towards me. He's quick to become upset and not so quick to forgive. He just isn't the person I fell in love with.. Also its been 5 years and still no proposal...should I end it or keep trying?

  • I want to get pregnant but...?

I have a herniated disk at L5-S1. My mother is also a diagnosed schizophrenic. My 18 year old cousin was also diagnosed with this. I have heard that schizophrenia is not genetic but is that true? I don't want to bring a child into this world who has a mental illness like that. Also would the back injury be an issue?

  • Is this professional?

I board my horse at a private barn. Today, the owner decided that she no longer wishes to board horses. She informs us by giving us 30 days notice....on the white board with a dry erase marker. I am very irritated because I think that I should have received a phone call or written notice(on paper and signed). I told her that I did not think that her actions were professional and she disagreed. What do you think?

  • Uncle stealing my things? What to do?

I am currently away, living and working on a ranch about 10 miles from home. The situation is temporary and I pop in every once in a while to check in. Today, I found that my uncle (45 yrs old!) Has taken my hair brush, my shampoo, my mouth wash, and my memory foam pillow. I had an accident years ago on a horse and sometimes need the pillow to relieve my pain. I paid $$$ for it. He has hep c and I don't want the pillow back now that he has sweat and drooled all over it. I don't make that much money and can't afford to replace it. No one in my house seems to care. I feel like my privacy has been invaded severly. Am I over reacting?

  • Why am I classified as imature when my 45 year old uncle still lives at home for free?

I'm 20 years old. I work 7 days a week, roughly 5 hours a day on a ranch. Sometimes the hours are longer. I work roughly 35 hours a week. It's not quite full time, but I am also going to school full time and I am taking more than the required amount of units. I even find time to go to the gym 4 times a week to maintain an old injury from a horse accident that occurred 6 years ago. I still live at home, but I pay for my own expenses, including food. My grandfather recently sent me some money as a gift to help pay for school books and whatnot since I am keeping my GPA up. My grandmother tells me that I'm clearly not an adult yet and that I am immature because I haven't had the time to phone him or get him a card yet. I haven't even had the time to cash the check. I haven't forgotten. It just simply needs to wait until I have a moment to breath. This normally wouldn't bother me, however, my uncle, whom she classifies as a capable adult, is 45 years old and still lives at home. I frequently see him pouring gas from our garage into his van. He is constantly sleeping in for the better part of the day. And ranch projects that are assigned to him, take forever to complete and are almost always done incorrectly. Who's the adult here? Yes, I know I need to call my grandfather, but I need to be in the right mindset to do it. He is a very intense man and expects a lot of me. He is the "my way or the highway" kind of person.

  • Is flea powder for dogs safe?

I just put flea powder on my aussie/border collie mix. She is out on the ranch a lot and I think that she picks up fleas from the tall grass. I've used everything, all kinds of flea products, including frontline and advantage. She is having skin irritation from the bites, which I have given her benedryl for and it seems to have helped. I've treated my house and living areas. To make a long story short, after several flea baths and expensive flea treaments, she still has fleas. I want to know if topical flea powder is safe. I'm not looking for alternative solutions or a lecture. Is is safe? Why or why not?

  • Yearling filly has medium sized bump above cornet band?

I have a yearling filly. A few months ago I had her boarded out. The owners of the barn said she had a "cut" with some puss and they were doctoring it. I went to go see her this weekend and there was a round lump above her cornet band. I cannot decide if it is a scar or potential bone spur? Shes only a yearling and I was hoping to use her for reining. I'm not into broodmares...don't know what to do. Could it have been an abscess that burst through and then left a scar?

  • Why does my grandmother hate me?

Both of my parents are currently out of the picture. I have not seen or spoken to my father for about 4 years. Since then I have been living with my mother, grandmother, and uncle. During the time in which all of us were located under the same roof, tesion was high. My mother has a chemical imbalance called schizophrenia and my grandmother tends to be a very particular woman. On top of that, my 43 year old uncle has no job and has been living with my grandmother, rent free, for years. My mother left on a whim last summer with no intention of reterning, so I was left here with my grandmother and uncle. My grandmother has been my primary care giver since my mother left. Even after my mother left, household tensions still remain high. My grandmother and I get along less and less as the year goes on. We fight about almost everything. Once on the way to school, I told her that I hate her. I know I shouldn't have said it and I appologized several times. She is a committed christian and still refuses to forgive me. She told me today that sometimes she hates me and that she "can't" love me anymore. She still does things for me but I can tell that it is not sincer, not from the heart. Instead, she throws a dollar sign at everything. All I want from her is unconditional love and support. She treats my cousins so much differently. It hurts to see that. With 2 drop out parents and 1 that doesn't want ya around, how do you win? I'm a good kid, considering all that I have been through. I don't even drink alcohol or stay out late. I don't attend parties, or do drugs, and I always say "thank you" when given things. I don't understand what's wrong with me. Why am I not worthit to anyone?

  • My horse weaves in his pasture?

I have heard of horses weaving when kept up in stalls, but in most cases they are fine in the pasture. Recently I adopted an 18 y/o reining cow horse that has had extensive show experience. We don't know much about him except that he weaves, and not in a stall or small paddock like you would normally see, but in a large open pasture. We have mares on our back 2 acer half that tend to tease him along the fence line and then trot off to the end of the property. This is usually when he starts weaving. I have tried everything, including putting him back on alfalfa (the feed he was on when he was at the other place) and chasing him away from the fence line. None of it seems to work very well. We have only had him for 2 days. I'm hoping that with routine he will settle in. Until then is there anything that I can do to help this situation? Any suggestions will be appreciated! Thank you so much for all who read and reply.
